I was on Pell throughout college, but never took out loans. Now that I'm in graduate school I took out loans through the federal government but I'm not sure if I qualify for up to 20k?
It's the AGI for 2021 if they have filed already, or 2020 for those who filed for an extension. The discretionary income is likely also based on AGI since the government couldn't process this on an individual level. The govt. love to keep the process as streamlined as possible. Finally, they have their work cut out for them so they will likely try to get this done by January 2023.
I requested my refund payments back and they said it takes 6-8 weeks to get a mailed check. It might vary per lending company but just wanted to give you that information 😀
People are upset because someone who worked 3 jobs and sacrificed to pay off his loans gets nothing but others who didn’t work as hard are rewarded by government paying it for youn
Your information is always concise, valuable and so appreciated!

You got loans?
@@TheBemused yes I do. Just graduated after 2 years lol.
So as long as you have federal loans and meet the income requirements you should qualify.
@@TheBemused makes sense to me.
Forgiveness ? It’s not forgiveness he’s not god basically someone else is paying it for the students ,it’s not cancelled.
