My favorite thing I learned about her is how intelligent she was! Second in her class with scholarships, a guitar and piano player and a kind soul to people of all backgrounds! Trendsetter who made all her own outfits 💛✨ Watch my pinup playlist if you liked this video ruclips.net/p/PLjQibLG11RaHU0o2vRQM8QSfzuG96GZBy

I love that she made her own outfits! I once did a shoot in a homemade leopard print bikini. Bettie was the photographer’s inspiration.🤍
I had NO idea she gave her life to Christ! It’s sad because I think her episodes were just her needing deliverance.🫣🤯

She was unaware she had become an icon until a curious person tracked her down and showed her. She was encouraged to do an interview but said she'd like people to remember her as she appeared in the photos rather than as she appeared at the time. I think this may have been in the 1980's.

Betty would've turned 100 years old next year. She was so beautiful and such an ace on making her own outfits, doing her own makeup, and showing you don't have to spend extravagant amounts of money to look good. I was sad to hear about her mental health struggles and the trauma she went through in her life. I never caught that her fetish modeling was never explicit. By today's standards it would be considered softcore or tame. As an erotic model myself I've hated how some photographers have expected me to do explicit shoots. Betty has helped me realize I don't have to do that and I can have boundaries. Wish I learned to sew though. Rest in peace to Betty 🌹

It is after a relationship is established with him that he begins to show us the importance of looking more like him and less like the world. Relationship with our Creator is the necessity we are all searching for in everything but will only find in Jesus. Another big reason who who’ve overcome sexual trauma seek out “risqué” sex work or experiences is because they have a newfound sense of control. It’s actually a form of therapy recommended to some victims of SA. Being sexually liberated and learning about that side of yourself gives YOU control over the situation.

He set her up with an agent who went on to assist her in securing legal control over the commercial use of her image. Her net worth was estimated to be between $500,000 to millions at the time of her death. I wish Prince John did not die so young so that he could kill his older brothers and become King John II and date or marry pinup model Bettie Page. I wish Prince John gave Bettie Page a toi et moi engagement ring with a diamond and a ruby. Prince John and Bettie Page would have made a striking couple. May they rest together in peace. 💐🌷🌹🌺🌸🌼

I learned a lot about her and temptress storm 11:33, they were such good friends, even into old age. There’s even a few films that they both did here on ytube too, a popular one called teaserama. Beautiful ladies and icons.

I loved learning the connection Betty had with Haiti. My grandmother was from Bayaja. Interestingly, when she married my grandfather & moved here, she worked for many years as a seamstress in a factory. She made everything....my mother's clothes as a child were made from feed sacks. They had lovely patterns on the inside. She also crocheted. My mother also sewed & still crochets & knits too. But, these talents came from Haiti. So Interesting to know Betty was so inspired & no wonder. What a beautiful country!

Yasss Betty Page ❤ love her so much, there was so much that she did not deserve. She deserved better, the thought of how other Christians treated her of that time esp. I feel it for her.

Hey, I'm in love with your work! In keeping with your focus on amazing and fascinating women, I, for one would like to know more about female authors like Flannery O'Connor, Gertrude Stein, Mary Shelley, Shirley Jackson
... even though they're not glamorous actresses... oh and Eleanor Roosevelt, cuz she was a brilliant woman. Wyt?
