- Bo Levi Mitchell and the Tiger-Cats looked to have the win late in Hamilton, but a late drive from the Roughriders to tie the game opened up the chances for an upset Sunday. C.J. Avery picked off Bo Levi Mitchell which set up the game-winning field goal kick as the Roughriders came out on top.
Tough break on the helmet coming off. Wish there was an exception for something like an instant rcovery of a fumble, since his helmet getting knocked off wasn't his doing. He didn't get up and do anything. The ball was just there. I get safety, but he got punished for something he couldn't predict would happen. Roughriders got the win anyway despite having to beat a good Ti Cats team, and an odd illegal participation penalty, that changed the game big time. Riders overcame a lot to win.

Why were the stands empty on a Sunday during a tie game?
CFL dropping off unfortunately in a few cities. Maybe if the riders are good this year we can sell out again.
They were at near capacity attendance. Only times it was really tied were near the end and I'd assume that's just people dipping out way too early to beat traffic, they probably didn't even know it got tied, let alone their team lost.
From experience, the traffic in Hamilton is awful!

Ya, they should at least have gotten to overtime. Losing when you have possession of the ball with 30+ seconds left is inexcusable.

Terrible call reversing the fumble. It happened simultaneously during the play.
I'm a Rider fan and was wondering why he didn't get a penalty, before they said anything about it. His helmet was off before he touched the ball. Had he left it, the other Rider might have got it. The players need to know the rules.
In the end, it didn't matter and made it that much more exciting. 😂

It's good that the CFL has the crossover rule. That way if one division (usually the East) is bad, then the other division gets 4 teams in the playoffs.
