  • After finishing the 5 point racing harness and extending the roll hoop, we take our 70+ horsepower 750cc cross kart powered by a 1982 Honda CB750 motorcycle engine out for a top speed run. Our custom buggy performed well- it had a high top speed, great acceleration, and it handled very well. Next up, custom building front brakes!

80 in a shifter cart isn't hard to do. Hell non shifter 212 you can get up to 80 with say a 36/17 tooth setup on 12" tall tires.
This particular setup if they wanted to and had the balls to do it, i am positive they could get up to 150 easily in say a half mile scenario.

How you guys don't get busted by the cops is beyond me. We used to be able to do that sort of stuff 35 years ago but these days neighbours might as well be an extension of the local cops. Love your work guys. Back in the day, we used to cut the gearbox of old motorcycle engines and use a single cylinder Villiers 2 stroke engine. Weld a sprocket where the clutch used to live with a centrifugal clutch on the motor crankshaft. So many hours of fun..and never any cops around.

Whether or not that cart is more stable then the 670 tractor at those speeds that roll cage would not hold up to a rollover they should be in full safety gear. Testing is where your worst accidents happen Ask any race car driver that's ever gotten into a bad accident, safety gear saves. That being said those guys definitely know how to rip it up😀

I agree it needs tank protection and also needs roll protection over the steering 4-6 inches in the clear really you need the full roll cage the way most rail sand buggies and most of the 4 cyl carts are doing. and some chicken wire in key locations for keeping your hands inside . these things are supposed to be upside down. Plastic needs metal. the way it is now when that things upside down you will break the wheel and probably your hands. My sister had an odessy and i'm sure it wasn't half as fast as that 750 but it got the rubber side up often. In fact that wus part of the fun because you were safe when it happened and the vehicle seldom took damage cus the small engine kept the speed down as long as you had the harness tight. edit
HaHa ha I see that during the time that past you had already done the full rollcage. Now your safe from everything but cliffs and pickup trucks but the driver is supposed to miss them. I know your michanic don't want to hear this but get a motor cycle mechanic for a buddy so you can borrow his carb vacuum gage set do you can balance them carbs or get one to do it and let him take a test drive. its like the back pressure extractor issue those carbs are balanced and jetted for a certain length pipe and collector, Besides its just more pleasent if that is humming in your ears not screaming. I really like the suspension setup Looks great. btw its not a gokart they have solid axels. have FUN!!!!!!!!!!

@@tebibyte2357 this is wrong. You want thick oil for air-cooled engines because it transfers more heat to the case, and because it runs at much higher temps, it thins out to be more useable. Putting thin oil in air cooled engines causes it to get too thin when it's hot and you lose protection.
