Here's an example of Sam Kinison when he's high. I prefer his performances when he was on coke though because he brought a unique, exhilarating energy with him when he was high in contrast to his later, sober performances. I love his untouchable excitement he displayed each and every performance.
I love the same song was played as on his debut with Letterman. The very thing David commented on. :)
I saw Sam twice years ago. Completely over the top humor! Loved him.
I grew up watching and listening to this comedy. No one will ever be this crazy, heck I'm still trying to sober up since he died all them years ago
"they try to shoot anyone that wants to make this place a better one, I guess that's why Reagan was only wounded"
GOD I MISS SAM
Judging by the routine I think this was earlier than 1986. He talks about Mondale’s loss, which was in 1984 to Ronald Reagan. And he talks about the Korean airliner shot down by the Soviets, which was in 1983. Having lived back then, I’d say the material was dated by 1986. But who knows…
Minnesota...Home of the White T-shirts and corduroy pants!!!
The Live Telephone Gag where he calls a girl who broke up with her BF is one THEE funniest jokes I ever saw!
The "Good people Get Killed and Reagan Only Wounded" joke has been passed on from comedian to comedian... Kinison to Hicks to Leary...
@tamlando the word you couldn't decipher was "wounded"
That Pats loss was a bummer. Saw SK & a bunch of other comedians at the Worchester Centrum a couple of years before he passed. Utter Insanity - Funniest comedy show I ever saw!
pats suck anyway
Not too many comedians could pull out a MLK, Jr joke like that. I have a dream, ahh I have a head wound!
I never saw this one before. Great stuff I miss Sam.
Man hes good. By today''s standards I think people would think hes crazy.
Talon Kishi We have Terrible Comedy Today I wish We had the 80s Back of Comedy .
Comedy today SUCKS.... 👎🤨
Comedians need to get back to Creativity & Originality 😎👍
Man, I loved this guy. In the 90s I bought three of his albums. It was a different world back then. Today people will let the snowflakes have a voice. Back in the 80s and 90s the snowflakes got their asses kicked because they were snowflakes. - Poor Sammy. If he had lived he wouldn't survive in today's comedy world. It pains me to say it, but I'm glad Sammy didn't live to see a post 9/11 world. It's a travesty.
Ok boomer
And why am I just now finding out about this guy and listening to his stand up?! I am 29 but damn, this guy's amazing! Reminds me of Bill Hick's...
He died when you were 2 years old. You probably weren't into comedy at 2.
Sam Kinison's comedy routine:
"Good evening, everyone. OOOHHHH! OOOOHHHH! AAAAHHH! AAAHHHH!
Thank, you! Goodnight!"
Accurate, but it's still funny.
Ahhhhhhhhh AHHHHHH!
I saw Sam in San Diego years ago. Sat in the front row. If I had been drinking milk, loogies would have been spraying outta my nose. I thought I was gonna die. RIP.
pure genious
Suddenly I want to return to 2006 :-(
1 year and 6 months before I was born 🤬..!! I was born 7-18-87 so this was 1 year and 6 months before I was born but I KNOW for a FACT THIS MAN IS FUNNIER THAN FUNNY 😅..!!
Thanks for making me feel OLD, Ryan!!! I was exactly 19 when this aired. Literally, that was my 19th birthday. The Challenger disaster happened the next day.
But yeah, Sam was hilarious. Saw him in concert at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos, California in the early 90's. Like Sam himself, it's not there anymore. Just office buildings now. :-(
His live show was unreal.
Ryan Beers i see you trying out emojis ,you wise old man
I miss Sam...damn!!!
still so great
Samuel Burl Kinison (Yakima, 8 de diciembre de 1953 - Needles, 10 de abril de 1992) fue un actor y comediante estadounidense reconocido por sus intensas rutinas de stand up comedy y por su aparición en las películas Back to School, ¡Tres Amigos! y Pauly Shore is Dead.
A Legend...RIP Sam H.
Thanks again.
Never found SK particularly funny but it broke my heart that he worked hard to get sober only to be killed in an auto accident by a drunk kid.
Damn. Drunk drivers are the scum of the earth. Just sleep it off or call a cab.
That was a pretty damn good entrance in itself.
"lets say you can't go up to her and go AAAAAAAAHHHH!"- good stuff
it took me till now to understand this guy. Sam is with GOD
Dude, Hicks and Kinison were both members of the Outlaws and very good friends... they developed a lot of their material together. Of course, some of their material overlapped. They were both brilliant. RIP.
Hicks is funny and smart. This guy is not
