I just made a carrot following your tutorial, which was awesome by the way (my first project in the round with crochet), and have a quick question. I used a DK weight yarn (Berroco Comfort DK) which says on the label that it is a "DK-Sport weight." After I finished stuffing my carrot, I had a lot of holes between my single crochet rounds below the top half. I was wondering if I should have used a smaller crochet hook since this seemed more like sport weight than a true DK weight yarn? Or did I crochet too tightly as the circumference became more narrow? I'm not sure if they sell the yarn you use here in the US but if you have any recommendations for a good DK weight yarn brand for crocheting, I would really appreciate it! The Berroco that I used was 4 ply yarn (50% nylon, 50% acrylic) and the plies kept wanting to separate through most of the project (very frustrating). Thanks so much if you get the chance to reply! :-)
