Pet Cheetah is (probably) also a reference to one of Tyler's many personal key boards, a Cheetah Master series 7P. In a literal sense, that might of been his pet cheetah, where he creates. he has tamed it and (literally) its definitely quicker in the studio than on its feet.

Am I the only one who watched all these videos with teary eyes? I'm so proud to be a fan. Tyler is a genius and an amazing human being. And TØP is hands down one of the most talented bands out there. What they do is so important and I'm so grateful to have discovered them.

As more of an ex-christian myself, that's important to note due to the differences between the aspects of the trinity. God is seen more as the personification of the universe, all powerful and knowing. Despite his good intentions toward us, his presence is still oppressive. Jesus is seen as the way to reconcile the overwhelming nature of God with humanity, the way the two can interact in a healthy way.
The Holy Spirit, however, is seen as an internal, personal force. Something that we can interact with directly. It enables us to interact with these cosmological beings in an emotional way.
For "above" is blind belief and "under" is sword to sleeve
And "around" is scientific miracle, let's pick "above" and see
For if and when we go "above", the question still remains
Are we still in love and is it possible we feel the same?
To go to God is to be overwhelmed with the presence of His power. But being present in the power of a Being so greater than we are is overwhelming. Can a human even function in that manner? What does that even look like down here on Earth? Without the Holy Spirit to 'Morph' us into someone who can appreciate that power in ourselves and others we would be overwhelmed with God's presence.
Personally, I think we need to be aware that Dema shows similarities to the Christian religion. Bishops, reverence for the dead, even the hints towards shaping people while retaining their fundamental characteristics. I know a few people who suffer from mental health issues such as anxiety and depression due to the culture and expectations of the Church. My sister is one of these people. It's possible that Tyler is recognizing that the Church is hurting him, and instead of "Taking the high road" and embracing the first two aspects of the trinity, which are viewed as ways to reconcile our flaws with unfulfilled expectation, he's instead "Going low," and embracing the interpersonal aspect of Christianity. The Holy Spirit we all share, or as the Quakers call it, the "Inner Light."
@@Elemental-Phoenix the Church is rather oppressive... Which is why we need to focus on God (or the banditos) in order to levitate. DEMA says they're on the right side, until they slowly squeeze the life out of you. There are alliances that you can make in the Church, the people who are self aware and understand that the church doesn't always want your best interests, but God does. The Christian and, Catholic, etc. Church says you can only believe this way, whereas other religions may be more open-minded and value your opinions.
So I believe that Tyler cannot blindly believe in God because of DEMA, and how they pull you back in every time you leave. So God sends the other versions of himself (The Trinity or Banditos) to save us, but many times we are not willing to leave, as we are afraid of a change in beliefs.
Another version is that DEMA is the idea of Satanism. Apply everything that I just said the Satanism and it also (pretty much) fits. My mother was a social worker and she dealed with so many people who got pulled into Satanism and now cannot leave because the Devil has a grasp on them and will not let go.

He has a cheetah in his basement. I can see that bare lightbulb in unfinished basements I’ve been in. But probably has more meaning than just that.
it could also be the lightbulb from the cover of self-titled. it could also represent how his ideas give light to the subjects they touch on, such as depression and suicide. or perhaps how they gave some metaphorical light on the song Neon Gravestones.
Oh my gosh. When he talked about Nikolas bourbaki, i got this TØPology? Are you kidding me? Also Nikolas bourbaki was famous for making the Ø symbol. It all ties together and i love it. Tylers way of writing is on a new level i think the world has never seen before.

I legitimately have felt that Tyler Joseph is a literal genius. The lore goes so deep and literally EVERY detail has some sort of meaning. He’s singlehandedly created a whole world that takes his fans YEARS to fully decipher, and no one person is even able to find all the details. We all have to work together... all for one album to be understood. It’s honestly comparable to Lord of the Rings back in its day. He really is on another level. I have no doubt that in 20-50 years people are going to look back on this universe and wish they’d been alive to witness everything coming to fruition in real time and experiencing the suspense and Easter eggs firsthand. I also think in the future lots of bands will begin following their lead. This is one of those things that has so much to it, it’ll take the world years to catch up on. Truly iconic.
@@KallieMae He also said that he forms the lore from what people online say about the lore, so this could be less “Tyler is a genius who created an entire world by himself” and more “Tyler takes aspects from fan theories and pieces together a tapestry”. Not to undersell his narrative chops, but comparing him to Tolkien, a famous author who was himself inspired by history and his contemporaries, is a bit of a stretch. That also explains why it takes years to piece his work together: he takes aspects of fan theories from one album and places them in the next so the lore constantly changes and grows.

Okay the only issue is the My Blood one, when Tyler says in Morph that above is blind belief, he the says “we’ll pick above and see/ for if and when we go above the question still reamins/ are we still in love or is it possible we feel the same?” This references how he can’t tell if he is truly trusting God with everything or if the issues are coming from him not trusting God.

I have to be honest, your theory video about who is clancy came up on my recomendation page, when I first saw I went "Meh, probably just a crazy theory", but youtube kept recomending it to me, so I went "Fine I'll watch", my expectations were surpassed, I went back and watched the theory about the dema universe and subscribed.
When you made the reaction video I was, again, very surprised, the way you did the reaction showed to me that you are very creative, and now, a 35min video theorizing and
philosophizing about the whole album, I can see the dedication you put into the things you like, and I'm excited to see everything you want to share with us, whatever it is, there's nothing more interesting than seeing someone talk about what they love, so yeah count me in! :v

I am going through a lot of tough times rn and i suffer from severe anxiety. the fear that no one will like me or love me is very common. but listening to tyler talk about his life through music really lets me know that

I have a few theories, I think blurryface is ALL of the bishops, blurryface is all of Tyler insecurity’s, each bishop represents one insecurity. And morph is thought of “we all die at some point, so enjoy life while you can”, the “if” is “what if I die doing this” the “when” is “when will I die?”, the “morph” metaphor is morphing thoughts. But that’s just me theory.

Here's a Theory:
"Rebel Red" is the color yellow. the members of trench are rebelling against the bishops, who wear red. Tyler said in an interview that the bishops cant see the color yellow, so it would make sense than he can't say the word "yellow" as if it is a curse word or illegal to mention within DEMA. the "Rebel red carnations" are the yellow flowers from the music video. The lyric "I'm careless when i wear my rebel clothes" from Natn is in comparison to the yellow tape, he isn't careful when wearing yellow, and got caught, and pulled back to dema. "Hide you in my coat pocket where i kept by rebel red" could be about the red beanie and the music video flowers, juxtaposing that he kept "Red" and "rebel Red" together with him, to show that he and the bishops, or blurryface, are one.
I've never thought of it that way. Brilliant point!

I never thought about the Daniel and the Lions story from the bible. That was a brilliant connection. In Migraine the same concept comes up when he says "I know that I can fight or I can let the lion in, I begin to assemble what weapons I can find cause sometimes to stay alive you gotta kill your mind" and in My Blood he says "if you find yourself, in a lions den, I'll jump right in, and pull my pin". Tyler has been very intentional about his inspiration and lyrics for a very long time.

I feel that Leave the City is him saying in time he will die, but for now he will stay alive. Leaving the city is going to heaven, the final resting place, but for now he's going to stay alive and tell more about what happened to help others out.
Rewatching these as the scaled and icy era starts really makes me appreciate how far we’ve come 👌 hope to see you back for lore on the new era

Very good explanation with all the only thing I don’t agree on its with the my blood lyrics, instead of being something like you said that he no longer trusts God I believe in the exact opposite, maybe that’s God’s part on saying he will go with you wherever and he just repeats that as a reminder and like he protected Daniel he protects everyone else. Also on the same book of Daniel you see that Daniel’s friend were sent to the furnace, they were 3 but went the king decided to check them he sees a 4th figure, again God protecting them since they left the furnace with no harm (you read this on Daniel chapter 3 the mention of the 4th person comes on verses 24 and 25)

The vulture is a guide throughout the world of Dema. It is a hope, and an inspiration to escape the world of Dema and live well. It is shown in every video because Clancy is following it, like a guide. The vulture is not paid attention to but it plays a really big role.

I don't think tyler is doubting his faith when he says "when you find yourself in a lions den, ill jump right in, and pull my pin", i believe that he is stating that no matter the circumstance, even though it could cause death, he would go with his brother/ family. when daniel was thrown into the lions den, he for sure thought he was a goner, but instead he was saved. Its not necessarily a question of faith, but of love.
OK, hear me out - Dema as an analogy for organised child abuse. As someone who went through that shit, this album especially rings very true to me. My Blood and Morph both seem to be explicitly about dissociative identity disorder (or i might be reading into it too much lmao!!)

Now the bridge in neon gravestones make sense to me,as it says "if I lose to myself,you won't mourn a day,and you'll move onto someone else" meaning if I lose my creativity and I stop making music,you won't be sad that I'm gone, and you will move onto another group,showing that Tyler loves us,or it could be about losing to his inner demons and "losing" to his mind,he is saying you won't be sad that I'm gone and you will go onto someone else

Hear me out... I propose that Tyler is a sort of spy for the Banditos. He is willingly allowing himself to be captured and re-enter Dema over and over again just to break out again - that is, he is allowing his mind to be "captured" to find inspiration his music so that he can bring it back to his fans (the Banditos) to keep them strong in the fight. I think that Tyler knows he has the means and the mechanisms to be free of Dema for the rest of his life, but instead he is battling it out in the Trench. Each time he goes back in, he needs reminders and support (such as the flowers in his drawer) to be able to escape again. And it hurts every time. Eventually Tyler is going to have to leave the city for good for his own sake.
