Currently in PMHNP school. I’m so inspired and motivated. I never knew the name of what I knew my avenue was, but integrative psych is exactly what I’ve been wanting to pursue post graduation. I’d love to join you all Summer ‘26!
Psych NPs, I see you! I hope you enjoyed my interview with Alysha -- she is an amazing provider and resource for NPs who are looking for a supportive mentor to help with case supervision. You can learn more about her inclusive group for both students and practicing NPs here: www.google.com/url?q=motivated-builder-2407.ck.page/4f548f52eb&sa=D&source=docs&ust=1681840122282228&usg=AOvVaw3tEZ4b2ZZhCYx1cKJOstTu
Having a child who is a patient of one of these women on camera here, we pay her JUST to write prescription- costs us 600+ for a 5 min mtg. Unfortunately it’s really hard to find good mental health with in the health insurance industry. I feel like we as the patients have a gun held to our heads if we want to be mentally healthy- this approach will only allow the rich to be mentally stable. Please note your patients are watching this
I’ll definitely be interested in doing this! I am currently in school to become a Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner! So so excited and so blessed!
I am currently a LA based Psych NP with 8 months of practice. Looking forward to connect with you and your mentorship in the future once I gain more experience.
Hi! I saw that your program is for PMHNP with one year of experience? I am a new grad without experience yet but already started the process of starting a nursing corp in CA for a solo telepsych private practice…
Hi there! You should fill out an application for my program and schedule a Strategy Call with my team, so that we can learn more about your situation and see if we would be able to make an exception. I thought PMHNP weren't allowed to own private practices in the State of CA. I must be ignorant towards the facts. Im in RN school rn, and have an interest in psych. Awesome interview!
Yes, PMHNPs can have their own private practices in CA! The rules and regulations vary state-by-state and are subject to change. Most states require a set amount of collaborative hours with a physician before they can practice solo. This is a great resource for the specific rules state-by-state: www.aanp.org/ Good luck with the rest of your training!
@@thepsychiatrymentor thank you so much! I appreciate the resource and response, I will be in contact with you in the near future, when the time is right 👍.
You don't need any experience. Just throw fake diagnoses from the DSM at people. Promote dysfunctionality with all cost. Bill the gullible peoples insurance and make your note and smile home. No labs works just subjective diagnoses and you're good😅.
@@thepsychiatrymentor I'm a US M.D. who finished a prelim year in IM, was aiming for dermatology but thinking of going for psych which is another passion of mine. If at-home private practice with a paycheck of 300-400k is possible, it seems like a no-brainer to me. I wonder why other psychiatrists don't make this life hack?
That’s not true. There are a lot of Psych NPs with their own private practice in Texas. I am in Texas and personally know 3. You do have to have a collaborating MD. This will be a cost-usually monthly
$1000 for an evaluation? maybe the cal market is way different cause the rest of the US is not paying that put of pocket. I'd hope she review what dx codes or specific therapies she's providing to ger to that #

And trust me eventually most of them will get sued. I am a NP and also so Legal Medical Consulting work. Alot of people do it for the money and I always tell them if you want to do something for money- DO NOT GO INTO HEALTHCARE! I cant tell you how much it burns my soul to see a shitty psych medication combination. They need for mandatory and longer training for anyone who claims they want to go into mental aspects of healthcare!
It's $1,000 for intake into an Integrative Practice. Listen carefully to the discussion regarding your very point. This type of practice is not for everyone, nor does it seem to be marketed to everyone. I don't see what is criminal about it.
I listened carefully. We go into medicine to help people; not rip them off. Slapping "integrative" behind your name doesn't mean you're providing a superior level of care that warrants a fee like that. It's a vague marketing buzz word. @@MoTown2Go
The patients whose psychoactive medications they mismanage? There are side effects of these drugs that interact with other medications; they can cause heart attacks or seizures or all kinds of adverse effects if taken or prescribed improperly & someone who is largely in this as a cash cow is likely to not be as meticulous in their patient care. Or even if they attempt to be and think they are being cautious; psychiatric NPs do not receive the same in-depth training as a psychiatrist who goes to medical school for four years and then does a four year psychiatry residency.@@amandalangworthy7162

This is absolutely amazing! I am a Psych NP in SoCal and you two together are such an inspiration! Thank you 🙏🏾
Transitioning from a Mental health therapist to a RN to eventually become a PMHNP. This is awesome.

This is it!! I have been wanting to incorporate holistic care into NP. Im about to enroll in an NP program.
(A DHA/EPA supplement made from algae is a good cruelty free and contaminant free alternative to fish oil.)

Hello. For the 1k is that charged to clients or to another business. Like is she charging a mental health facility that to do intakes for them?
How do we get patients as a NP private practice?
how much Psych NP experience did you have before you went private practice?
You don't need any experience. Just throw fake diagnoses from the DSM at people. Promote dysfunctionality with all cost. Bill the gullible peoples insurance and make your note and smile home. No labs works just subjective diagnoses and you're good😅.
Do you help psychotherapists also?
So she makes around $400K a year as a psych NP, after taking the course? That is pretty awesome.
It is awesome indeed!

Can we get some other areas on? Anything is possible in LA lol
Agreed. How about a PMHNP practice focusing on maternal mental health. Please chime in and let me know if that is feasible
$1k for a PMHNP intake is criminal. MDs don't charge that.

Who exactly will be suing them? She has a cash practice so she's not billing their insurance, from what I understood.
