    Conrad's most enduring novella is rich and complex; in this lecture, we'll discuss some of the main currents animating the work and literary criticism of it--Gender, Class, Race, and Hegemony (both Political and Cultural). There's a side-helping of "voicedness" and hypocognition at work, as well.

    This analysis reminds me of Dr. Raja’s more Marxist analysis.

      Though I would seriously argue it’s not anti imperialism, it’s very much pro. Marlow or Conrad never condemn imperialism, nor extractivist short term colonialism. He just prefers a lighter version of them.
