This was a Chasecam with their optional G module. I didn't set the sampling rate to be as smooth as it could have been so it's a little "jittery" in the G recording. The Chasecam is a first-rate unit.

Yep, NASA, SCCA, HSR-West, Speed Ventures...pretty much all the car guys can run the full roval course.

a proper sports car is so fast and looking fairly easy to handle for experienced drivers. how is the durability of the prosport? randomly saw a few nice examples asking between $25-30k. looks like a great bargain considering the lap times it is capable of. what are the drawbacks you have experienced from the ownership? thanks.

+ghettoracer The Prosport population is getting pretty old so it really depends on the individual car. I had issues with suspension components that failed (both an A-arm and an upright which were both fairly crappy steel) and the engines can be tempermental (a built race motor like a GSXR is a grenade). Like any purpose-built racecar, it's all about maintenance and staying on top of it. A stock Hayabusa can be very reliable in this application, even the 1400 built motor I had got quite a few hours on it before the guy who bought the car from me replaced it with a stock unit. But in a racing situation, I had to stay on top of the car and spent considerable time in preparation. Normal "wear" parts are durable (brake components, chains). For the speed they're capable of, they are bargains but the cheapest part of a racecar is the purchase price!

+allegroracing Oh and by "stock" I mean including the fuel injection. Radical (and some owners) did this crappy carb conversion on their Hayabusas. Avoid that like the plague and have the stock fuel injection tuned via a power-commander. Also the bike engines need to be dry-sumped in this application because they aren't designed for lateral G.
