can this unit's wifi be connected to a cellular wifi hotspot? i don't want the solar controller to be an access point but instead connect to my hotspot or wireless router. can this be configured to operate how i described? i want to remotely access the unit anywhere on the internet.

You need to set up the IoT mode, instead of AP mode if you want to link though hotspot.

If I am not wrong, you need to go to cloud device at mobile, enter hotspot ID and password, then scan for the MPPT while MPPT is in IoT/AP distribution mode, to have remote access after this setup. Advise me if its work as I did not see any video regarding the IoT mode in the solar charge controller GCSOAR video series.

@@alaincheong7275 When you connect the WiFi module with your 2.4G wifi router or hotspot well , you could remote access your solar system by APP anywhere with internet signal. GCSOAR has upload new video , hope that could help you .
