This song has always said what I couldn't but that last bit just takes it to another level. Seems like the song still gets to him after all these years. Still gets to me. He carried this song off so very well, with the help of all the other band members. By this point his voice was failing, but the guitarist played his part by wooing the audience enough with his skills to draw them in to carry the 'do do do do do dodooo'ing by themselves, and the drummer drummed his heart out. Then Eddie returns with a gentle, emotional continuance. Softly sung, meaningful, heartfelt and enough for his delicate voice to handle. I think Pearl Jam carried themselves so well for this concert, it was a pleasure to watch as always. A strong team of talented musicians, with kind hearts, right there. They must be gutted to have to cancel the following night. Well done guys for Monday, it was a real pleasure.
