Thank you for sharing this video with us! I can’t wait to recreate this! For the cake color and beer color did you add food coloring to your frosting and fondote? If so what colors did you mix
You have to allow the handle to dry before adding to the cake. I use a food dehydrator to dry my fondant pieces but overnight in a warm dry place should be sufficient if you don’t have that option. I also use tylose powder to shorten the drying time.
No, this cake wasn’t travelling far, so no cake boards between any layers, but you could add one in the center if you like, with a few supports underneath.
Hi Lynn! No special icing, just American buttercream... I like it because once it has a bit to crust over you can touch up the bubbles with your finger to smooth them out if they didn’t pipe perfectly!
First you tube video of cakes I love! Thank you excellent tutorial! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!! 🥰

You said to use toothpicks but those were pretty long. Are they special toothpicks? Would skewers work?
Great tutorial! I will be trying this week! May I ask what chocolate cake recipe you use? They look perfect.
My bf would love this😁
My bf liked it too! With a different kind of beer tho, he's more of the craft beer type.
Hallo Robyn, I am a new sub here. I also designed cakes. Thank you for sharing your ideas. It is a big help. Regards from Germany 🇩🇪.
My pleasure, thanks for watching ❤
Fill your layers with a piping bag you get a much nicer coat and a much even coat. :)
Made me thirsty 🤤
😆

Yup, I just used a little bit of golden yellow with a smidge of brown so dull the color a bit. Thanks for watching!
Does the white fondant handle droop? Or do you find that the toothpicks are sufficient to hold them in place?

And what colour makes up the icing please. We are limited with colours we can get here ☹️
It’s a dark golden yellow, but you can make that by adding a tiny bit of orange and a dab of brown to your yellow.
Did you use a board in between each layer.
No, this cake wasn’t travelling far, so no cake boards between any layers, but you could add one in the center if you like, with a few supports underneath.
Is there a special icing you use for piping the white bubbles
Hi Lynn! No special icing, just American buttercream... I like it because once it has a bit to crust over you can touch up the bubbles with your finger to smooth them out if they didn’t pipe perfectly!
Hi from Northern Ireland, im new to your cannel and have been asked to make one of these. Can i ask what colour you used for the buttercream please
My gosh! Somehow I missed your comment, I’m so sorry! That would be golden yellow with just a little bit of brown.
@@TheRobynsNest awe thank you. I managed to do just that by studying your pictures and tutorials. Not perfect but friend was delighted.
What tip did you use to create the foam on top :)
Just a round tip, #12 I believe
Wow nice, what color of the fondant and icing? Thanks
Hi! Thanks!! To achieve the beer color I used Wilton golden yellow with a tiny bit of brown to dull it a bit.
@@TheRobynsNest did you mixed it together? Sorry I don’t really bake. Thanks 😊
@@alingmommiejadyneletsplaya3535 yes , I added it to my buttercream a little dab at a time and mixed it well until I was happy with the result
@@TheRobynsNest thanks 😊 I finally baked it 😊
@@alingmommiejadyneletsplaya3535 awesome! If you post a pic tag me @therobynsnest83... I'd love to see it!
