What I have realized is, when I put the standing up straight pin (vertical to the fabric, at 90°) & pin it in place by pushing the top back and finish securing the pin so the pin tip is also pushed into the fabric and is horizontal, I have created a shift in the fabric; the Point is lost when I sew that 1/4" seam... I learned from Lori Holt, to either use a double pin to just hold down the seam allowances (when pressing a seam open), or to place another pin along side the standing up pin... which will not shift the fabric and I then have the best opportunity to keep the point of the triangle out of the stitched seam allowance. Maybe this slight change in how you are using the pins will hold the fabric in place better, and you will see successful points!!!
The block from last week that you showed at the beginning is absolutely beautiful.
NE Arizona here hoping for snow, like watching your show.
Thank you.

I think it would be helpful to attach the comments from the live, so we can learn from those commenters, too.
I will pass this along and see if they can do that.
Could use your centre piece in single square instead of four triangles
Of course.
Neither can I sew and talk.
