    Linslade curve is arguably one of the best vantage points for filming and photography on the entire West Coast Mainline. It's located just North of Leighton Buzzard station and Linslade tunnel and allows some great views over the sweeping curve which Virgin trains can still pass at 125mph! So the pendolino's certainly do "lean" to say the least. A perfect afternoon for some filming as well, nice warm July afternoon on Saturday the 2nd 2016. Managed to get a few tones from some of the drivers too!
    INCLUDES: Virgin Pendolino's & Voyagers, London Midland 350's, Southern 377's, Freightliner Class 90 & 66 and GBRF class 66 (66721 in Transport for London Livery)
    Thanks for watching!

    Hi mate, I was planning on visiting this location. Could you tell me how you got there, ie did you park and then walk? If so how do you get here from the road? Thank You :)

    Hello! I'm a trainee journalist in London and am interested in including a shot from this video in a film. Can I ask: did you film the footage and may we use some of it in our documentary? I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, Philip.

    Great video! Im not sure if that part of the line features the Glasgow Central to London Euston part but 390 107 (Independence Day) and 390 151 (Business Is Great) were all on that line at some point on Saturday, I think they were 40 mins and 1hr 40 mins behind 390 104 (Alstom Pendolino), as I said great video!

    ...about tones...yes, I hear a slight difference in almost each passing train. Probably a unique signature not unlike a ship's prop noise as detected by a submarine...

      boboala1 it will be the same horn only speeds and the wind will affect the noise

    First comment and first thumb-up; love these vids!
    Can you or others explain to me why those Desiros have those odd warbling sounds when starting or stopping? It's unique to them but I don't know why...

    Yay first.
    Also what's the line speed there?

    • @TrainPlaneHub
      @TrainPlaneHub  8 лет назад +2

      125 on the fast lines for anything that can tilt.

      Ok. I was kind of curious because living in Australia the trains don't go faster than 160 KM/H (100 MPH)
