As someone who both thoroughly enjoys speed draws/ speed paints, and does them exclusively for my own content, I very much agree that speed paints definitely have their place on RUclips! It is hard to stay engaged with just the art itself sometimes, which is why I try to spice mine up with commentary and helpful tips. I've learned a lot about digital art from other speed paints here so I do not think they are outdated whatsoever! I love that you have brought more light to this matter and I also love your drawings! Having your art available for coloring pages is such a good idea! Thank you so much for your discussion and for sharing your art!

Personally I find speed paints relaxing they help with my anxieties and indpire me - and as you covered they are fab for learning or rediscovering old techniques :)
In terms of topics, staying quite current in online themes and world news is a very broad spectrum that could help, but that would depend how broad a subject you want to cover. Dont forget, these videos are yours, choose things you have are pulled to ❤

First, I wanted to say this came out so amazing! Great job. I might even color this myself just because it looks like just a fun piece to color. As for the subject of speed paints, I don't think people have an issue with them if you are talking throughout the video. I have noticed that if I do a speed paint and only talk through a small part or not at all, it doesn't get much watch time. People will just fast-forward to the end or not watch it at all. With that being said there are some people that I watch their videos all the way through even if they don't talk. So I think as long as you are keeping the audience engaged with a discussion or something, they tend to enjoy those more.

Definitely a yes for speed paints, I think for someone to put a video up on youtube is a great thing to be showcasing their work, regardless of their level of experience or video production ❤️ such cute and adorable art you produce, I love it all, brings a lot of brightness into the world with all the unknowing and negativity happening in the world ❤️😊❤️

I believe that if you can learn from a painting by a master painter IE: Monet, Rembrandt’s as well as others, you can learn from a speed paint. I think the musical speed paints are not good. I want to hear the Artist talk about what they are doing, why, maybe even what they will do next! I enjoy watching an artist do collaboration challenge type videos too. Painting a pair of shoes? That is kinda cute. I am also more interested in traditional art methods but I will watch a digital paint video too! This video was lovely and I would watch more content like this video! really nice page, lots to colour in 😀 I dont think speed paints are going away, they just need different editing like you mentioned (which i prob wont do since i am a lazy editor lol) I do need to make sure I talk more in mine tho, talking about the art or an art topic can help get people to engage with the video.

I always love speed paints or any video where they talk while doing the art, I think if they were to come into a more "modern RUclips" I think maybe less music and sped up artwork, more talking. I love drawing aside the speed painting if they're talking :> maybe somthing to talk about are some of your fav artist or maybe about the process of a drawing or drawing something non art into art, love your work sorry this is so long lmao
