Bangkok is modern and the malls are very nice. It’s one place that has everything to explore for a day and to be stuck up on rainy days. Foods are cheap and delicious too. Where else do you want to be entertained in the city to kill your time!
Was just in Bangkok yesterday. I was there for 5 days. The city is so vibrant you can see people walking everywhere and its busy busy busy. As a city rat, I will definitely go back and enjoy the rest of what Bangkok can offer.
Wow... Truely insane and incredible. Such a unique shopping mall. They really have all the vibes to explore. I've never had a chance to explore all of these. Also, really thanks to you for design appreciation of yours. The designers really put a lot effort on these and glad people notice. 😊
Each mall in Bangkok caters for a different demographic and has a different vibe to it. EmQuartier is very different to Icon Siam and Siam Paragon which are more destination malls. Icon Siam is located in a place where the local population simply does not have the money to go to (apart from the people in the luxury condominium on the river). EmQuartier tends to cater for the people who in the local community. That local area is extremely wealthy. The Central Embassy mall is also another interesting mall, in that has the most expensive cinema (from memory a cinema ticket 800 - 1,200 baht). And while a number of malls have a VIP car parking level (Porsche, Maserati etc), it is the only mall I know that has a large air-conditioned room on the parking level for the chauffeurs. The local community around EmQuartier is HiSo Thais and expats with very well paid jobs working for multinational corporations. Many of the expats are Japanese working for Japanese motor vehicle companies, European banks etc. There is also Sukhumvit Soi 24/1 which is interesting to those who have an interest in Japanese massage shops. EmQuartier has a very family feel on the weekends. Lots of families and children on the weekends. EmQuartier is not designed for tourists. MBK, Terminal 21 at Asok are more for tourists. Asok does not have any schools etc. It has basically hotels, lots of office buildings, restaurants, nightlife etc. The area around EmQuartier has large family compounds for the HiSo Thai and expensive condominium. One can visit the Imperial World Mall at Samrong to compare the other end of the mall demographic. Bangkok has 100+ shopping malls. All are just as interesting as Icon Siam, MBK and Siam Paragon. There are a couple of extremely interesting shopping malls in China Town/Little India area. EmQuartier has a local mall feel to it, if all the locals are extremely rich.
The Central and The Mall groups are the 2 major mall operators in Thailand. The Mall department stores, Emquartier, Emporium are owned by The Mall group (they also have a part in Siam Paragon). Many Thai just stick to either one of them.
Bangkok is the capital city with the most malls compared to other ASEAN countries. and has the most high-end malls Including name brands from around the world Including having the largest mall in ASEAN as well.😊
The cakes from the ground floor are amazing and thai people love it when you bring one for their birthday ( make sure you keep the receipt for them that they can brag lol)
The Emquartier is one of the three luxury shopping malls that make up the EM District on Bangkok's Sukhumvit Road. The other two malls situated nearby are the Emporium and the EmSphere. By the way, The EM District, along with Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Icon Siam, are all owned by the same business group
Yes I agree Emquartier still not that popular for the short-term tourists my friend probably because the food price are a little more expensive, but for me as a Thai I really like the Emquartier mall too I just like the vibes there and in a little Soi(street) before you arrive the Emquartier mall I means a little soi just next to the emquartier there is my favourite Japanese bakery shop called Custard Nakamura, I really love their Ton-kat-su sandwiches. Just in case you interested💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏
Bangkok is just amazing! You can find almost anything you want here. The city has so much to offer, and it will definitely blow your mind. Can you believe that in some shopping malls, they actually sell both mouthwatering local street food and luxurious supercars? It's like a one-of-a-kind experience you won't find in many places around the world. The mix of cultures, flavors, and surprises makes Bangkok an extraordinary destination that has something special for everyone. You're gonna love it!
FYI… Siam Paragon, Siam Premium Outlet, Icon Siam, Emporium, Emquartier are all managed by the same company, Siam Piwat Group, and owned by the mall group. Their competitor is of course the Central Group with all their Central stores ie. Central World, Central Chidlom, Central Embassy, Central Westgate etc…
I get your point, but let me share my thoughts on the Emquartier Mall. There are different dining zones, so you can choose what fits your budget. Luxury dining might cost more due to imported ingredients, but the food court offers affordable and safe options with great service and ambiance when comparing to the street-side restaurants. It's totally worth it for me! Enjoy your meal there without worries. Happy eating!
Virtually nobody correctly pronounces the name Emquartier, at least not the quartier part which is of course French for quarter. If you do know how to correctly say quartier, and you say it to a Thai, like a taxi driver perhaps, you would just confuse him.
Icon Siam is top notch in every aspects. However, Siam Paragon has the most high-end brands compare to Emquatier and Icon Siam. Siam Paragon is still the ultimate shopping mall and locate centrally in Bangkok.
Both Icon Siam and Emquartier are owned by the same business group, they aren't rivals; they complement each other, catering to different customers. Emquartier, with its limited space, is all about serving the Sukhumvit locals with their fast-paced life style while Icon Siam got those breathtaking river views that attract both locals and tourists. They're aiming for a more chill and relaxed vibe there. But the Emquartier is just one part of the Em District comes together with the Emporium and EmSphere. Imagine combining all three malls into one giant shopping wonderland. That would be the most impressive mall probably.
Tourist selfies...."Shocked" Really? Okey, probably need to do some more travelling, there are so many more shocking things out there, I promise -good luck to explore!
i do not understand why you don't travel to southern laos zip line around those waterfalls , namkad yorapa, plain of jars, xaiyasatan/ northern vietnam sapa, ban gioc ,kao bang/ south thailand (islands) , chiang rai, maehongsorn ,chiang mai, nan/ beautiful islands of the philippines / borneo island of indone.... traveling here for malls????????

I think this mall is much more beauty than others. I wonder why there are not many youtubers review here 😮

I was blowed away too! I was just there recently. I stayed at Barn and Bed Hostel, which was in an adjacent alley
Wow that was so beautiful shopping mall I ever seen. Thank you showing it. 🌺✨🌺✨🌺
Beautiful mall!!
EmQuartier is one of the high end mall by The Mall Group. Which also own Siam Paragon, The Emporium and EmSphere. So the vibe looks similar.
Looks much nicer than any place in Houston Texas. #SpoiledinThailand 👏🏻👍🏻😃

Iconsiam is not just a mall it's a state of art👌🏽
Wow never heard of this mall! Am used to making around Siam Paragon but this one? Need to check this out on next vacation in BKK!!!
There's no comparison between this and iconsiam, iconsiam is the greatest mall in the world.
FYI… Siam Paragon, Siam Premium Outlet, Icon Siam, Emporium, Emquartier are all managed by the same company, Siam Piwat Group, and owned by the mall group. This is incorrect. Siam Piwat and The Mall Group are two separate companies. They only have one joint venture which is Siam Paragon.
I live not too far from Emquartier. I do most of my shopping there.
I ❤ this Luxury mall 😊
Does the cinema have movies in English at all?
Icon Siam is KING
it was a meerkat
❤❤❤❤❤
Shop along the footpath, price 10 baht (you might know?) If it is a content, want to experiment with the Hi End location as well.
ขายตามเรทราคาห้างนั้นละครับ เสียค่าทีแพง ของก็ต้องแพงตาม ทำดา
This is the most expensive mall in Thailand, especiallly food - European price!

No contest. Icon is the best in Bangkok

Not only to prevent covid but BKK has low quality of air.
''...kind off..like.....'' pitiful.
