One of my favorite movie of all time. My mother saw it at the cinema here in Sweden 1975. It was a shocking experience 😄 I first saw it on television when i was 10 years old, 35 years ago. It was very terrifying 😅 I own it on VHS, LD, DVD and now on 4K.
I still find the movie terrifying to watch and very disturbing as well. It's amazing that a movie can have that kind of power over you. Like I said in the video this was my first ever collectible for this movie and it's probably why I was so happy to finally get it in my hands. A huge thank you for stopping by and checking it out

I find myself in two minds about these boxsets. They do look good but are expensive for what you get. If the movie was a new great transfer it would be a no-brainer, but cost seems steep imo when you get an existing transfer available for a third of the price elsewhere, a crystal block with a number etched on it, a ripped box because the crystal moved in transit, a poster, new artwork on a box and some post cards. If my all time favourite movie was released in remastered 4k director's cut probably I would (Tombstone) but I think I'll leave these new releases for other fans.
I completely understand that these Editions are not for everybody. For myself I specialize in collectors Editions like this so this was going to be a no-brainer for myself. The one thing everybody keeps forgetting when it comes to these Editions and how everybody breaks down the price of them they never Factors in the rarity Factor. There is only 4,000 of them so that alone is going to add a bit to the price. As you said maybe one day one of your favorite movies will appear on this label and then give it a go and see what you think. But thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and check it out

Great film and a fantastic edition first watched Jaws in 1975 boxing day when I was 10 loved it.
I was probably around 10 myself when I seen it for the first time and I remember it scaring the crap out of me and there's still scenes in it that does disturb me to this day. Thank you as always my good friend for stopping by

As you know Curtis this is probably the 4K transfer I have been waiting for all year and I'm almost scared because it is a paramount release and they can be so inconsistent when it comes to their transfers. A big fingers crossed that this is going to look amazing

Very nice Kieth! I am also awaiting my copy through a 3rd party. The Crystal on these are a bit dicey so what I did on my Blade runner is I actually added some foam tactfully hidden on the inside to keep the heavy crystal in place. So glad they improved on this but looks like it’s still problematic. I wish I had reached out to you earlier, because had I known I could have ordered from Amazon Italy to pre-order I might have saved $100- LOL
However, thanks to you I did manage to pre-order the “2001 Film Vault Range” set via Amazon UK. The “Shawshank Redemption”sold out, unfortunately. The other Film Vault Range, “Apollo 13” I ordered from “Vice Press” that comes with a bonus Full sized poster by Matt Ferguson…October is really shaping up to be a great month for releases. Hey Chadwick. Whenever you miss out on a release like this always check Amazon Italy because nine out of 10 times you will find it there and sometimes you will find it cheaper as well. I'm so sorry I probably should have mentioned that in my Shawshank video that I done at the start of the week. Great to hear that you did manage to get A Space Odyssey and I honestly think that's shaping up to be the best film vault release out of the lot. I think the artwork looks exquisite on that one. I was aware of those Editions you can buy where you get the full size poster but I haven't seen a single video of anyone showing it for some strange reason. @@millerman9991 I really appreciate that Kieth. I remember some videos back you mentioned how back in the day we could just walk into a building filled with media to purchase and explore. Having the ability to hold these things in our hands are a thing of the past. “Tower Records” Here in the states had a “Tower Video” where you could sift through all the laserdiscs, dvd’s, and early releases of blue-rays in one big building. It was Grand! Miss those days…Now it’s much more complicated. Thanks to Channels like yours, it really opens up doors to possibilities that I would have otherwise overlooked. So thank you. I’m ok with missing out on a few releases, but that’s sometimes what makes it fun. Who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky as sometimes these thing turn up in the most unlikely circumstances. Those are the best stories no doubt! Lol
The Apollo 13 release with the Full sized Poster is a special release from “Vice Press” as they work directly with the Artist that do the cover Art on these “Film Vault Range” releases. I just caught the tail end of that as the others sold out first quite quickly. I’m a fan of “Matt Ferguson” cover Art so for me it was a no brainer.

@chadwick1e466 my god I cannot remember the last time I bought something physically in terms of a 4K or Blu-ray release. We have got one store over here called golden discs and they are massively overpriced and they don't stock 4K well not over here where I live. I can't stress how much I miss buying physically because you're always worried when buying certain deluxe releases online when you do not know what way it's going to come. I got a lot of that last week with those film vault releases. To be honest Chadwick one of the reasons to why I started this RUclips channel is to make people aware of what is out there and show them it's possible to get them if you're willing to put in a bit of time and patient. It's great to hear that my channel has helped you out in some small way. I feel like I've accomplished something. So a huge thanks again for all your support my friend

Mine is arriving today, according to Amazon. I like these vault releases, even though some people don't see the value. I was 12 when Jaws came out in the cinemas. I remember being totally shocked. As a kid, it was the first time I had seen body parts not attached to a body (the leg and shoe sinking down to the seabed). At the time I could not get it out of my brain. Seems very trivial compared to what kids get exposed to these days. :)
You are absolutely correct. Every single time I do a video on one of these releases I always seem to get a lot of comments telling me how they're not worth the money. I honestly do not know why people think it's not when u consider that you spend nearly 35 pounds on a single Steelbook nowadays. Look at what you're getting inside this release. It's beautifully presented and some of their trinkets that you get inside are quite clever. Me personally I think it's worth every penny. The scene in Jaws that really got to me when I was younger is when you see the young kid getting killed. Even now that scene is shocking to look at.

Hi Keith, my copy arrived from Amazon Italy and I’ve just watched it - haven’t seen it in years but it was like watching it again for the first time - absolutely amazing, it’s an iconic timeless classic.
Many thanks to you again for tipping me off after it sold out in the UK for Amz Italy 👍🏻👍🏻 it’s identical to the UK release apart from the slip which is titled ‘Lo Squalo’ (The Shark) with j card print in Italian and also the two discs have different artwork showing poster art of shark 🦈

I felt the exact same as yourself when I watched it for the first time on 4k. Bear in mind I thought the Blu-ray looked absolutely extraordinary but somehow they managed to make strides over the bluray release. Thanks for letting me know by the way about the Italian release because I was curious to hear what differences there was and I'm so ecstatic to hear that you managed to pick one up. I think our sold out on Amazon Italy now.

Great review Keith! I feel your pain, my copy of Jaws has very similar damage. Although it is minor it's still annoying. And as you pointed out, all copies are sold out and therefore can not be exchanged. However, I am thrilled to have secured a copy of this incredible boxset.
There is no question about it it is very frustrating because we are spending big money on releases like this and you want them to be pristine. Out Of all the movies why did it have to be Jaws that got damaged. To be honest I'm starting to get use to it because my recent pickup of 2001 had the same issues and I'm expecting the same on Apollo 13. Thank you so much Gil for stopping by

I love the artwork on the front of the box Keith, the colours are stunning. I have just got back from the beach and before I left I took pictures of the sun setting it's just like this cover less the fin. The picture is what Quint drew on the chalk board before he scratched his nails down it. The no swimming sign is a great touch to this set, I love that. A great edition one you had to have in your collection. Keith, here is my top 10 Speilberg movie list. I have to say from the off and I know you may be shocked by this, I have not included Schindler’s List, the reason being, I have never seen it. I know that’s terrible of me and I should be shot but I will definitely put it on Gary’s List now to watch.

My film vault edition of Jaws doesn't have the ratings on either of the sides and it doesn't says 006 anywhere except on the cards inside the box.

I know it's quite expensive but honestly I think it's worth it. Where else are you going to get such a release like this for Razorback and bear in mind there is only seven hundred of them out there.

Should hopefully be getting mine soon. Jaws is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. Any physical media release it gets I'm always likely to get it. I have it on laser disc, VHS, dvd, blu-ray, 4k with a few different steelbooks and collectors editions from Cinemuseum. This will definitely be a nice piece to add to the collection.
So it's safe to say you are a fan of Jaws. Like I said in the video I've never actually owned a collectible of Jaws until now. I always wanted to get the CineMuseum release but could never find one at a reasonable price. So when I seen this I was genuine excited to finally get it in my hands. I would never ask you how much you spent on it but I did see that Edition and whatever it is I think it's money well spent. It really is an amazing release and I would love to pick one up myself someday
Hi Keith , an ace looking set but I would love if the Film Vault guys would add a actual plastic insert for the glass block, as you know I had the originals lone up all arrived damaged ans so far i have the two from wave too damaged too and Amazon pack the dams things properly ! A few weeks ago you received I Saw the Devil from a friend/subscriber. I told you I've got a Korean Collector's Edition of it. However, this set was DVD only and thanks to your video I realised I still had to upgrade to Blu-ray. For the Blu-ray release I went with another Korean Collector's Edition. I bought a release by BlueKino which is limited to only 400 copies and contains both the Korean and the International Cut of the movie. Yesterday I received it.
I think I seen the release you got for I Saw the Devil. When I put that video out somebody on Instagram sent me a picture of it and it looks absolutely fantastic. Still haven't gotten around to watching the movie as of yet but it's on my list of things to do during the month of October. Well done for finding it Patrick. I can imagine how happy you were.
@@millerman9991 As this particular edition is limited to only 400 copies I was surprised it's still available at several different websites. I think it's because the movie itself is from 2010 and throughout the years the movie's had several different releases, so most collectors've already got some kind of premium release of this movie. This is just yet another release of the movie with a little bit different artwork, so collectors aren't in a hurry to get this release. Well, good for me, as I didn't have to rely on eBay and pay twice as much.
That it exactly Patrick if you are happy with what you got then that's the most important thing in the end. I've only seen one collectors edition for that movie and I thought it looked fantastic and I'm hoping it's the one you have.
While I do really like these releases, out of the 6 I’ve purchased so far, 4 have arrived with their crystals pushed through the side section of where they are located. Although I was able to pull the card flap on each back up with a pair of tweezers, 3 titles including Jaws all have a small amount of tear damage which does ruin the overall aesthetic. For the life of be I do not understand why they did not correct that with the next releases. Surely there aware that there is issues when it comes to the crystals inside these releases and I wouldn't imagine it would take too much to try and stop that from happening. I'm so sorry to hear that you had damage on some of your releases and even though it didn't bother me too much it's still is frustrating to get anything like this with damage because we are spending quite a bit on them. Like you said hopefully sometime in the future they can address it. I have never seen number one and something's telling me I'm never going to. A huge thank you as always for stopping by

It's one of those movies. An absolute masterpiece and amazingly enough this is my first ever collectible. Crazy when you consider how popular the movie is

Stunning release Kieth! Mine arrived today also but I havent opened it yet. Couple of things Im a bit annoyed about though, firstly Quints name wasnt Sam - I really wish they would STOP with this on official Jaws merch! And the jaw on the ORCA was a Tiger Shark, not a White.
I have to admit I found it strange when I said Sam in this video because I remember him as Quints.

@@millerman9991 Universal for some reason have been putting this name on Jaws merch for a few years now and it bothers me as a massive Jaws fan because its not official. The rumor is that this was a name given to the character in a fan script posted on the internet back in the early 2000s so its become kind of internet misinformation. In the movie he's only ever called Quint. In the credits too. In the screenplays. Furthermore in the actual novel its made a point of stating he's only known as Quint, no other name! So thats even more frustrating as a massive Jaws fan Universal haven't done their research! I know this is a Film Vault release but it steams from the digibook and booklet from the Universal releases. I wasnt into the other releases from this line but with Jaws being my favourite movie I couldn't pass this one up! I was lucky enough to get the box set and poster limited to 200. Haven't looked at them yet as it was a busy day! Its an expensive line so unless they release another absolute favourite of mine I can't see me buying more lol. Hoping I get number 1975 🤣
I've actually just looked at another unboxing of this edition and the person that done the video was complaining about the same things as yourself. By the way great to hear that you managed to get one of the editions with the poster. I haven't seen a single unboxing for one of those yet. I'm sure it'll look fantastic

Yes I pre-ordered the collectors edition of Duel and I am counting down the days to finally get that in my hands. If they do right by that transfer it could look astonishing

My Italian edition has the old discs ( not JA WS) no matter a nice set to own and a good price. Also got the equalizer 3 steelbook cheap, now i have the trilogy on 4k steelbook.
Very strange that the Italian version is so different from what we got over here. But as you said it's still a fantastic edition regardless. I got that steelbook of The Equalizer 3 myself but I don't have the other two. Hopefully I can pick them up sometime in the future
Got equalizer 1 from amazon Germany only £14 at the time . Part 2 was hmv but cex always have it mate. Got my dune 2 steelbook pre ordered too.

I'm not sure what way it's done Robert. I was under the impression that this is all to do with Warner Brothers but as you can see there is some universal and E1 titles. I'm not sure how it works out. Trust me though when I say you are going to love your edition when you get it through the door and if you don't mind Robert get back to me and let me know is there much Italian writing on it. Something's telling me it's only going to be on the discs and that's it
@@millerman9991 I think it will be English indeed because I also saw it on the pictures and it's a limited release. That also means it will have the PG stickers on it. I will let you know if it's only on the discs
Yeah I thought myself it would be English but I noticed sometimes when you get editions like this from Italy the only difference is the actual discs. Having said that when you see the discs there's no way there can be an Italian on it now that I think of it.
@@millerman9991 blegh. Going through a hell right now. Got a notification in my postage app that it was delivered. But nothing.... I don't think that it fits in the mailbox either. I ringed my neighbors... Also nothing. Although the neighbor said he saw the delivery guy and that he took the package with him. Contacted the postage company. They can do nothing. Only file a complaint and that I should contact the sending party for a solution. Pfff.. Struggled myself through the Amazon Italy customer service. Can't do anything till saturday because it can still be delivered. Blegh. My patience is being tested in the ultimate way right now
My god Robert I don't know what sounds worse trying to get your 4K edition or the fact that you had to power through the customer service on Amazon Italy. You must have a serious amount of patients because I don't think I could. I really do hope you get it sorted Robert because it's a beautiful release.

Yeah it's very strange when it comes to Amazon Italy but having said that you do get that numbered crystal. But yes Amazon Italy always seems to have everything in stock
@@millerman9991 Just received the package and the package itself was totally damaged. Luckily the content was ok. I don't like the Italian text in the plastic cover but otherwise fantastic release. And for me a lot cheaper than Amazon UK (no need to pay taxes). And this release was also limited to 4 000 ;)
@amis66 I only just heard about the title on the slip is in Italian. Correct me if I'm wrong but on the pictures in their website it did show the English title. I know it's a bit disappointing but take nothing away from the release itself it's fantastic and I'm sorry to hear that there was damage on it but as you said you got it had a great price so at least that's something
@@millerman9991 As I said the the vault package itself was unharmed so no harm done. And only the slipcover was in Italian, the rest was exact the same as UK release. Extremely happy with this.

I went on Amazon Italy to order but everything being in Italian it was too difficult to figure out how to check out with the item.

Yes, they're quite nice at a great price. I already picked up Big Lebowski and Jurassic Park. Animal House, Schindler's List and The Sting out within the next 2 months.

Yeah I mentioned that in the video how the first 4 that came out only one of them sold out which was Blade Runner and the same thing seems to be happening with the next batch. I suppose it's all down to the movie itself
I didn't feel the need to pick up this set. What's been said about Jaws has already been said coutless times. I picked up UHD Jaws that Universal brought out. I just think this is a money grabbing exercise tobe honest. I love Jaws, but I wouldn't push for this release. I reckon if 5K was a thing, all these people would go out and buy the film all over again. LOL!
Let's just assume that there was 5K. How are you any different from the people that would upgrade this movie on 5K seeming u did it when it came out on 4k. Everybody wants the best when it comes to Jaws.

Looks like more overpriced collectible junk to me. Now if they had done something along the lines of adding the television footage into the film it certainly would be a stand alone release and almost worth spending the Extra money for but apart from that I wouldn't want this in my collection not for the money there probably asking
It's the first ever collectible I have ever owned when it comes to jaws so I was quite happy to have it. One man's garbage is another man's treasure
