Happy he’s succeeding in NPB. I’ll always remember he and Judge both homering in their debut

He was finally able to be himself in NPB. There wasn't as much pressure so he is just relaxed. There's no threat of losing his roster spot, as there wasn't more foreign player threatening his spot. He is simply able to be himself, in a cool and collected environment. Being a Yankee prospect is enough to break a prospect enough with all the pressure expected.

AND MY OLYMPIC DESIGNATED HITTER!!! I've followed him and his Team USA Baseball teammates till the bitter end. Damn proud of their silver medal journey, alongside his former Yankees teammates Todd Frazier and David Robertson. Thanks to him I've adopted the Baystars as my NPB team, since their stadium WAS ALSO THE VENUE OF THE OLYMPIC BASEBALL EVENTS. I am truly grateful to have followed his career as a Yankees fan in 2018 (the year of that infamous Fenway brawl) and now that he has reedemed himself in the NPB and Olympic baseball - as a result one of the players who spaked the revival of our sport in the world that almost a week after the Closing Ceremony was lit in fireworks in the MLB Field of Dreams Game in Iowa - I have finally found a foreign player to root for in the NPB and now have made the Baystars my team to win the Japan Series. One more thing: I can surely promise Tyler and his Team USA Baseball teammates and coaches and their manager Mike Scioscia, and to all of the USA's baseball players, that my loyalty is to the American people and to the sport of baseball that has roots in the US and has grown globally, and I am determined to fight with him and the team he was a part of towards one goal at my life's cost - FOR GLOOOORRRYYY

I was always interested in hearing stories like this I wonder if there's an American superstar pitcher in this league. Excellent video!

Hyped to see how he does if he goes back to MLB (I think he’s talked about wanting to go back).
As a Brewers fan I’d love to see him with us as we are in need of an outfielder that can play 1st in a pinch. In recent history we have brought over American guys from the KBO so the Brewers are welcoming to players coming back (not so much signing any domestic talent from KBO nor NPB). Thames was the last bat they’ve brought over and our park is friendly to hitting so it makes a good showcase. I think if Austin stays healthy for the season then he’ll get a fair few good offers because his stats are too good for a team not to take a shot.

He is staying in Japan for 3 more years. He contracted with Yokohama baystars.

    Past New York Yankee 🗽
    Future Hanshin Tiger 🐯
one of my favorite Baby Bombers.
Let's make this happen, get my guy Austin out of Yokohama or bring him back to Yankee Stadium ( we need him back)!

No one thought of Austin as anything close to Judge’s level of prospect. Also Austin was competing with Bird for playing time, not Judge
