To this day, this match had the fastest tennis I’ve ever seen played. It’s really incredible that Andre is 12 months away from barely being able to move on court and retiring.
Maybe you dont see much tennis . This was not the fastest tennis match played
@@edwinivanrodriguez3769 what's faster

I agree with you. They both were coming out of their shoes on each shot, obliterating the ball. The Sampras/Agassi match was mentioned below, but it's different when it involves serve and volley. The only ball striking I can equate to this is the Agassi/Federer final. Agassi was hanging with Fed and was leading but couldn't pull out that third set.
Blake left the building mentally once he got up 3-0...he started getting emotional...can't do that
Blake always played with cajones, so exciting to watch. Left it all out in the court. No wonder he was a fan favorite
a year away from retiring, andre was still trading rockets with the best of them on a deep run at the US Open. if time travel was possible, i wish someone would set up a tournament with the big 3 plus andre and pete sampras all in their prime. it would be epic.
Always forget this went tiebreak and 3-0 Blake. You can see here clearly how much less Agassi is moving but his strokes were so sublime he could dictate.
And Blake was *this* close to being 4-0 up.
A much better 5th set tiebreak than the Thiem/Zverev 5th set tiebreak (US Open 2020)... Agassi and Blake are absolutely crushing the ball!
Zverev is gringer ! The tennis here is much class than Zverev -Thiem.Andre and James came bombs in every stroke !
This is still one of my favorite 3 matches of all time. 🎾🏆
me too
@@ARKenMan Right on!
One of my all time favorite matches...
The shotmaking and electric atmosphere that night made this a great match and a lock amongst my all time favorite matches.
What a match! Bravo to Blske as well of course.
James Blake was a hard man to play against.
He is still a formidable Tennis Professional you know.
Two awesome players. Too bad one had to lose.
Aggasi is such a stud. Blake was that day too. Andre went for it and so did James. Wow.
I knew Nothing Temp Labor 2005, i'd been living in Phoenix Arizona,
Blake should have never lost that tie break...he let Agassi back in after being up 3-0...but that was the story of the match he should have won in 3 sets...there was time he was punishing Nadal on hard court...I would have liked to see against Djokovic
El último gran héroe americano
“Know” hair no worldly care! Great champions! PWG
7:29 Blake just should've made a stop, then he'd have won the point
Un hipócrita renegó del tenis pero vive de el
Blake was an under achiever , injuries aside, ton of talent , cant say same about heart...
You’re insane lol

I think James Blake had a wonderful career. 10 titles, Wimbledon semi-finalist and was ranked as high as number 4 in the world. He gave it his all but he was just not as talented as Agassi, Sampras, Roddick, Federer and some of his other contemporaries. I think questioning his lack of "heart" is not a true reflection of how hard he worked and his accomplishments.
Loved watching legend-in-his-own-mind Blake go down. His paid-for NIke fans (eg. Marty Fish - the Fisheads) and biography.....yes...James released an autobiography long before his mediocre (at best) career ended... the title should have been "I reached the quarterfinals a few times."
