I really agreed with a lot of the things you said about religion! (am myself religious/spiritual). And as an addition to the “why is it harder to flirt with women than with men?”-question: maybe part of it is that many women have been sort of raised and conditioned by society, their upbringing and role models etc. to flirt with men, and they therefore know the “script”, whereas with women it feels a bit more like deeper water where you’re fending for yourself and having to figure out how it works, ‘cause you haven’t seen it represented as much and you’re less used to it. Plus, with men there’s usually an expectation that they’re into women, whereas with girls there’s the added worry of “is she even into women?” and the “will she even understand that I’m trying to flirt?” - with men any encounter is a lot more likely to be seen as flirty due to the expectation of heterosexuality, whereas the opposite is the case for two women. (Also, you seem like a lovely, talented, dedicated person, sending all the best wishes❤️)
