My husband and I are going on our 2nd cruise first time to Grand Turk and the Dominican Republic Amber Cove. We sail on June 16th.

We do like to mix it up. We think every cruise line has some good and bad points. I think our preferred cruise line would be Celebrity but in saying that we really enjoyed the Koningsdam from Holland America ( especially the live music ) we also enjoyed the last princess cruise we were on. SKY Princess. I don’t think we would say a hard no to any line. It really depends on so many things.
I guess for now the answer to your question is Celebrity ( for now ) 😉

We leave on the 22nd of February for Miami then heading out on the Magic ( 4th time ) on the 24th, can’t wait!!! We absolutely love Grand Turk, Jacks used to be a great place to go but not now, customer service was terrible so we’ll stay at Margaritaville and do the beach, seeing you have a Leafs cap so I would assume you both are from Canada, I’m in New Brunswick, looks like it’s been a great cruise, cheers!!!

Grand Turk definitely has something for everyone. When we were there with friends we are more inclined to visit in the more “active” areas like Margaritaville. This time we were quite happy to have less decibels and enjoyed the quieter side of things. It was definitely a lovely day. It’s a shame about the service of Jacks Shack. Maybe it was just an off day?

Question: what’s your opinion on half moon cay?
@@PhilCatsea we’ve been to the Bahamas but we’ve never been to Half moon Cay….we have another cruise booked for next year 2025 and doing a European Cruise, France, Scotland, Ireland etc…..so what’s your next adventure?

Hi there - I'm going on my first Carnival Cruise in late April - we're going to Grand Turk and we're like you and Jane - we like the quieter sides of places. But I'm curious about the ropes in front of the lounge chairs - were you able to go around them to go in the water? We're bringing water shoes for this part of the beach, but wasn't sure about any restricted areas?
Hi there and thanks for the question. The answer is no to going past the ropes in front of us us but just to the right of this there is a small beach with water entry. You’ll be able to go in there and water shoes are advised. If you watch the video again there a a point where I point out where this is.
