Also the one with the parents and asking them if aelita could stay, that same scene was used 3 episodes ago when she convinced her parents to let her friends come over. They sure cut a lot of corners, but i love it nonetheless!!!
It's just cheaper than creating new scenes. Because it was 3D animation, rather than drawings, and it being the early '00s, this was the best AnteFilms and France Animation could do with their budget. It's also why AF merged with another company to form MoonScoop after the first season.
When you're a not-so-big studio what has to transition from 3D to 2D like every scene, have to hire a bunch of people to VA in different languages and such, they gotta save dough anywhere they can.
I prefer this. That way they can focus more on storytelling than animating. They have a script, but if they don't have the footage to use, it won't get posted.
Just a few episodes ago the same section of mountains where the floating platforms almost got Yumi was reused almost to a picture including the double jump to the tower. Looking back this show got some budget where they knew they needed it and held their ground hard otherwise with good writing.
11:16 through 12:09 has to be my favorite virtualization sequence. The music, them heading to the factory, Jeremy sending them off. Definitely one of the most complete virtualization sequences of the series.
Yumi’s parents are like my parents-they ask so many questions about my friends and what their parents do haha Lol they used the same scenes from when Ulrich and Yumi were arguing when they entered the scanners from a couple episodes ago
The moment when Jeremy had his dream my eyes began to shed tears!! 😢😢 so emotional and so heartwarming/heartbreaking moment just during that particular scene.... My eyes are filled with tears right now and I can't stop crying bc of that little clip!!!
This was one of the scarier episodes to me. Just the idea that Xana could get its monsters to actually come to Earth was a terrifying concept. Also always wanted to see Jim go to Lyoko after he teams up with the Lyoko Warriors for the season finale XD
Omg the way aelita falls so relaxed and dives into the codes and ends up flying upwards with the gentle beep from her landing on the platform is beautiful 🥺😵💫🍃🌊
I like the parallels with Aelita. She goes into a stance of prayer to active her powers, and those powers move mountains and such. She talks about having faith in the humans assisting her, especially Jeremy, and from a digital entity's perspective humans would be the gods of their "world." Then there's the time she finds Jeremy in the in-between and wakes him up, that whole sequence looks like the God and Adam painting. Then again I don't know what the French script looks like but at least this dub draws a lot of parallels to Christianity. It's neat.
Anybody else really want a variation of this show where Jim became a Warrior? Just make it a plot point that he gets so suspicious that he's able to track them to the factory in every single episode despite returning to the Past, so they figure the best course of action is to just let him in on it. He even loses a bunch of weight so he can fit in the scanner and ends up looking kind of ripped as he uses Kung Fu to beat the crap out of monsters.
The one thing I have with this episodes idea on Jim being right about what odd, yumi, Ulrich and odd were doing, is that like the finale of camp Lazlo, it was never hinted at with Jim knowing in any previous episode up to now. What I would have liked is if it was hinted at for several episodes, or several episodes prior and it becoming an increasing side plot point that the writers used on the side showing that Jim wad trying to figure out what the kids were up to. Edit: and, after the next episode, it was never brought up again that he knew. It was only this episode and the next episode that showed that he knew, and that was it. Granted, yes, he did go to the factory several other times, but was wrecked by a return to the past and a memory wipe. I wish that it was brought up a few times throughout the show, and it being shown that Jim was made immune to the return to the past's.😐
I remember how much of a big deal this was in elementary when me and there was a group of kids who also watched this like it was the only thing in life that mattered(shut up we’ve all been there) literally talk of the lunch table for a few days after this episode aired. Whenever I look back on it it’s kinda cringe now to me, but doesn’t mean I don’t still enjoy watching this series back 😂😂😂
Ngl, when I saw Aelita being excited about materializing, I felt like crying tears of joy! Welcome to Earth, Aelita! (P.S, someone new is on team Lyoko! my dream has come true!)
After watching this episode, I now know exactly how Aelita was materialized on Earth. Aelita: "Jeremy, can you hear us? We're in the tower. Jeremy? Where can he be?" Ulrich: "45 minutes is a long time to go pick up a CD." Yumi: "I hope nothing happened to him." Odd: "Stop being all doom and gloom. Don't panic. I'm sure everything's cool." Delmas: "Jim, this time you've gone too far. Now don't say I didn't warn you. This time your paranoia has caused an accident." Jim: "I'm sorry sir, I really am." Delmas: "So am I Jim, but I'm going to have to let you go." Jeremy: "Ok Ulrich, it's up to you." Ulrich: "Hey you piece of junk, nobody messes with my friends. Triangulate." Jim: "Go on Ulrich, get him. Show this X.A.N.A. thing who's the boss." Edit: I couldn't tell if Jeremy did intend to keep his promise to Jim, or if Jeremy just blackmailed Jim into getting him out of the infirmary. Especially given the look on Jeremy's face at 17:48. Either way, at least he got out to materialize Aelita. Edit 2: I'm sure that Jeremy had to explain everything to Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi, as to why it took him so long to come back to the Factory to upload the program to materialize Aelita. Edit 3: My favorite part of this episode is when Jim said "Go on Ulrich get him, show this X.A.N.A. thing who's the boss." My second favorite part is when Aelita finally got materialized on Earth. Edit 4: 15:17 When Jeremy pushes up on his glasses, you know things are about to get serious.
Yeah, I gotta agree. Even after becoming more aware to all the writing flaws and idiot plots as I got older, I still can't resist re-watching this whenever I'm in the mood.

It's just cheaper than creating new scenes. Because it was 3D animation, rather than drawings, and it being the early '00s, this was the best AnteFilms and France Animation could do with their budget. It's also why AF merged with another company to form MoonScoop after the first season.
You forgot the y=ax+b reuse . Lol.
I love it when the whole gang is in the tower. It always excited me as a kid for some reason
Jim’s “I’ll miss you guys” was actually really touching
11:16 through 12:09 has to be my favorite virtualization sequence. The music, them heading to the factory, Jeremy sending them off. Definitely one of the most complete virtualization sequences of the series.
Yumi:” Follow me Odd!”
Yumi: *moans*
*gets devirtualized”
WHY DO THEY DO MY GIRL SO DIRTYY
9:06 Blocks! I guess you could say they are BLOCKING the WAY!!!!!
HA I'm done.
Tej Bhatt 🗿💀💀
I bet they block their friends on Facebook
You could also say that Blocks are blockheads. I'm sorry if this isn't funny. I mean Blocks are literally just cubes with legs.
@@soulessyuri5649 HEYO!
I love how they never show Jeremy's scooter jumping that gap in the sewers. How does he jump that, lol?
Maybe he designed a pogo feature onto his scooter
I ALWAYS THINK ABOUT THAT
He stops and walks his scooter
They show it once, just not this season
Gintty
I think he grinds on the rails.
Yumi’s parents are like my parents-they ask so many questions about my friends and what their parents do haha
Lol they used the same scenes from when Ulrich and Yumi were arguing when they entered the scanners from a couple episodes ago
Same TwT
meanwhile , they didn't notice the red tower
lol
aelita was in it though
recycled footage
RIP to how this forest sector looks.
ikr! RIP childhood
Tucker Ellis
Ikr the forest is boring and doesn't have any textures every season after this
Danny Olsen You don’t like the redesign of the forest sector?
StreamVid7 I prefer the redesign instead of Season 1’s.
The textures were better in this version, but I prefer the redesign's lighting far more
This will always be one of my favorite episodes of Code Lyoko. I loved seeing Aelita in the scanners for the first time.
Jeremy bringing his pink haired waifu to life. He really did it!
Also, Odd's break dance video! LOL! 😂😂
I'm actually so glad Jim got to be at Aelita's materialization 😊
Yeah? Well I wish he wasn't there, that creep.
@@masterraiden8268 okay then?
Omg I love this show so much I almost cried when she got materialized
Diogo Gouveia not gonna lie I did.
Jim, calm down. You’re at a 10, and I need you at a 2
The moment when Jeremy had his dream my eyes began to shed tears!! 😢😢 so emotional and so heartwarming/heartbreaking moment just during that particular scene....
My eyes are filled with tears right now and I can't stop crying bc of that little clip!!!
Jeremie really achieved every weebs dream, of bringing their waifus to life.
15:30 You can see that Jim's skin is pale. This is because they reused that shot from Ghost Channel where zombie Jim was chasing Jeremy.
Love gim saying "I was right, I was right!!!" Lmao so funny.
Damn Odd. Now Break Break Break dance is stuck in my head. XO
hahahhhahahaha at the end of the episode, "RETURN TO THE PAST!" hahahahaha rip aelita
Oh! It's finally here. I love the story.❤❤❤❤❤💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💗💗💗💗💗💗
Jim is the Candace of this show lmao
Part-Candace and part-uncle Ruckus
This was one of the scarier episodes to me. Just the idea that Xana could get its monsters to actually come to Earth was a terrifying concept.
Also always wanted to see Jim go to Lyoko after he teams up with the Lyoko Warriors for the season finale XD
Then add the phrase "I'd rather not talk about it"
17:25 is there someone else working in that infirmary other than Dorothy?
Nope XD
I'm sure there's like 1 or 2 other people working there.
Reese Cates Yolanda lol
It's neat.
I thought I was the only one to notice
Anybody else really want a variation of this show where Jim became a Warrior?
Just make it a plot point that he gets so suspicious that he's able to track them to the factory in every single episode despite returning to the Past, so they figure the best course of action is to just let him in on it. He even loses a bunch of weight so he can fit in the scanner and ends up looking kind of ripped as he uses Kung Fu to beat the crap out of monsters.
That or perhaps a military outfit with a weapon that can fire laser blasts
BREAK BREAK BREAK DANCE !!!
Jeremy? Where can he be?"
Ulrich: "45 minutes is a long time to go pick up a CD."
Yumi: "I hope nothing happened to him."
Odd: "Stop being all doom and gloom. Don't panic. I'm sure everything's cool."
Delmas: "Jim, this time you've gone too far. Now don't say I didn't warn you. This time your paranoia has caused an accident."
Jim: "I'm sorry sir, I really am."
Delmas: "So am I Jim, but I'm going to have to let you go."
Jeremy: "Ok Ulrich, it's up to you."
Ulrich: "Hey you piece of junk, nobody messes with my friends. Triangulate."
Jim: "Go on Ulrich, get him. Show this X.A.N.A. thing who's the boss."
Edit: I couldn't tell if Jeremy did intend to keep his promise to Jim, or if Jeremy just blackmailed Jim into getting him out of the infirmary.
"They work with computer's"..." you bring honor to your family".
Gotta love that recycled footage, I still love this show so much.
And she's on this place called...loco.... I LOVE THIS SHOW xDDDDD Third time watching it
@Kisandu Dinusara 20. Time
Yeah, I gotta agree. Even after becoming more aware to all the writing flaws and idiot plots as I got older, I still can't resist re-watching this whenever I'm in the mood.
@@SabeNo-rh7mb It's the nostalgia. It hit different when we were kids. Damn I posted this comment a year ago and now I wanna rewatch it XD
@@Axashx Nostalgia and writing aside, a *LOT* of production value went into this (which only got better as the series went on). And according to what I read on TV Tropes a few days ago, this show during it's heyday actually managed to place *Top 3* in Cartoon Network's popularity pole. What does that tell you?
@@SabeNo-rh7mb that it's good?
This Is the first anime I ever saw before Pokemon and this is the first anime I learned about love.thanks to yumi and ulrich plus, Jeremy and aelita. :)
Alpahwolf7 Code Lyoko is a French production
So, a Frenime.
This is not an anime
Technically it's not an anime. It's a French show.
It's not anime, it's a French cartoon show.
y=ax+b
In biology of all classes!
Maybe they're leading up to the lesson on population growth...
Going from a polynomial to an exponential function may be too big of a jump for these kids though. They've spent how many weeks on y=ax+b?
Good stuff w/Jim in this.
You've got to make sure you have the right disk. XD
Wow, between that, Jim, and the tower under attack...
The ending really surprised me. Thanks for posting.
break break break dance
hehe😁😁 odd is so silly
Back in the day. This was cgi done right
I laughed for five minutes after BREAK BREAK BREAKDANCE caught me off guard XD
Jim: what do you mean, "absurd"?!
Principal: You heard what I said, absurd!
dragged him
I died when I heard “BREAK BREAK BREAKDANCE” 🤣🤣🤣
This is the first episode that someone other than the gang seems to remember anything that’s happened from the past events about the kids sneaking off which was refreshing to finally see
Season 1 was my favorite season they worked hard for a goal to bring Aelita to Earth true friend goal!
Anyone else notice the tower was red when Aelita first saw it? XD Probably a reused clip, but I found it funny. Though maybe it was foreshadowing.
If you listen real close at around 5:42 you can hear Ulrich
Xanadu200 I did too.😄
So did I.
Finally. It happened. Been binge watching. Nice watching this series again😃
A non-athletic child can run faster than the gym teacher. 🤣😂
Given that Jim is 240 pounds and Jeremie is 68.5 pounds is it any surprise? Also considering that Jeremie can easily keep up with the others during trips to and from the factory, as well as all the times XANA has tried to kill Jere personally, it’s easy to see that Jeremie’s not a total wimp
*"break break dance" someone need to put the song in spotify immidiately.I luv the song.i luv u odd*
I always wanted Jim to become a part of the team. It would have been so much fun to watch
2:06 Re-used animation from a previous episode.....smooth.
+giraton1 Lets be honest, a bunch of scenes are reused animation.
At 15:28 it's a reused animation from the previous episode "Ghost Channel".
and 2:43 is also recycled animation
look you can go on with the list, but lets just enjoy the eps okay
Even Disney reuses tons of its animation, so it's really not that big of a deal.
Antefilms/Moonscoop had a limited budget back then. But over time, the budget increased.

Holland? I thought Aileta was from Canada! 😂
The series was launched in France.

Aelita Lyoko? Really!? Oh man, I'm glad they changed it to Stones.
Welcome to Earth, Aelita!
You know you've been to the infirmary one too many times when you know the nurse by name.
