A bit of oil/grease and adjustments and it should be all good to go. Only thing I fear is the amount of worn parts needing replacement due to lack of pm.
I'm worried how long these guys last because the Pandemic shut these Lanes down for 2 Years straight and to combine that these pinspotters were bought used/refurbished instead of new when this place first open on May 10, 2013. The mechanics here are so unqualified and they always rely on the expert or head mechanic to keep these Lanes running. They should at least do something because the current situation is bad the number of Lanes are starting to run out, Lanes 9 & 10 were down and 13-16 were dead.
@@PinoyBowlerGS92 gee that's really concerning, especially when they'd want to have a clean start to trade with all lanes fully operational. Hopefully things do improve. Nothing worse than a centre full of unqualified, unmotivated techs that are ignorant to a machines needs for upkeep.
@@thatPG23 Its so bad, the Head Mechanic (who worked here since 2013) unfortunetly resigned since last year just months after the Lanes reopened after 2 Years and he's the man that can keep these Lanes running even if he never cleaned their Pinspotters. I forgot to also mention that this place is corporation owned, basically similar to Bowlero in the US. SM Bowling/SM Game Park was owned by SM Supermalls and they have Bowling Centers located in 10 out of nearly 80 SM Supermalls across the Philippines. All are AMF equipment and yes the pinsetter preventive maintainance doesn't exist in any of their branches. It sucks and I don't blame entirely on the mechanics especially those were hired since 2022 because if the management can train them better and provide cleaning tools and spare parts, then their Lanes would've run better.
Late to the party, but videos like this kill me. Firstly, I'm not accustomed to bowling centers being ok with lanes being down. As a pinsetter mechanic (Brunswick A2's), I'd be out of a job if 2 pairs were down. My center needs all 30 lanes 6 days a week year-round. Seeing centers like this shows how much bowling has died in certain areas. All machine stops are logged by my pin chasers. 99% of the time my calls are deadwood and respots. Actual jams and pins falling over are borderline nonexistent. I'd say I average maybe 1-2 jams (180 stop/blackout for Brunswicks) a month. Then I spend the time to figure out why it happened and fix it. Considering the fact that these machines aren't even old, its unacceptable/ pure neglect. I'll have to show this video to my one buddy who works on 82-90 XL's. He'll have a heart attack.
I agree. Neglected Centers like these is just a horrific nightmare, its bad as those existing centers switching to StringPin Garbage cause it shows how lazy people can be when running a Bowling Center without even trying as they don't have a background for Bowling which means they don't have the care for the sport.
@PinoyBowlerGS92 The strings are much more of a cost saving in parts. Owners of them know they're cheaper but how they got around offspots to clear USBC regulations is crazy.
@DD2225 except the fact not all centers can afford to switch especially centers here in Southeast Asia and there's no point switching them when the original machines still has life in them
I really like the idea that if you roll a gutter ball, it switches to ball 2 and doesn't cycle! Less wear and tear on the unit! Grab another ball and bowl! If you are paying by the hour, it's a real bonus!
That's pretty much typical for an AMF Pinspotter to do that, same with the Brunswick GS Series. There's actually a feature which not many AMF Centers used when you rolled a gutterball, the machine switches to 2nd Ball without needing the sweep to drop. I would love to see these 82-90XL's can do that because the sweep is kinda wasting its time to drop and immedietly came back up. Plus the sweeps here drop late anyway for the majority of lanes.
Lane 11, 7 pin respot cell carb clip is probably off. Which is why it's not picking up the 7 pin. Also, distributor seems out of sequence because its taking too long to spot next set of pins. Lane 12 the table seems to be jerking a bit while spotting pins, causing pins to fall out of the cups.
I don't know how that pin on Lane 11 in the beginning of the video fell from the bins drop to the pindeck directly while the Table is underneath it. Also on Lane 12, not sure you can hear but that squeak on the Table was a long time problem that wasn't been fixed since 2014 and the last time I bowled on Lane 11 & 12 was April 18th of this year and while I was Bowling, the Table squeak on 12 is gone but I don't know how it returned.

If you're from Singapore and you know Superbowl or Sonic Bowl, SM Bowling is like that but not in a good way. Financially, they ran great but their AMF 82-90XL Pinspotters are so poorly maintained. Last time when I bowled League on Feb. 1st, only Lanes 3-6 and 11 & 12 are the only ones working on that day out of all 16 Lanes, its pathetic.
