I was just praying to God for a bible text that teaches or shows principles on how Christians should offer or give as worshipers of God since I'm assigned to share in the Offering Exhortation in my local church this sunday-12.12.2021..and look at how God answered my prayer right away. God is so amazing!

I miss the old hymns. I do love a lot of today’s songs but I do wish sometimes the church would do a mixture. And I get what you’re saying is that it’s for worshiping God and not for our pleasure.

Since you mentioned worship associated to music in churches, any thoughts on Augustine's dilemma on whether to have music in churches or not? whether music should be the element to attract people to attend church or to ban it to focus on the more serious side of the faith? And how about the period when Christians were gathering in caves during the times of persecutions?
