Unknowing at the time , my first hint of raggea was Sublime. Such a kid I was. Thought they were original, later down D road I was skooled by the masters of what was truth in that. A st. Croix roots band Deserie was first dose of soul connection I was blessed experience in this lifetime . Wow. Then good ole Toots and the Maytals .. blessED double wowza! Then back to back was all the Marley boys. That's when I found out who Bob was. And thennnnnn... life never been the same. It was like i had found my long lost brother in raggea. The Rebels now with a purpose. Bob you still with me heavy. To all the new world cali vibes raggea.. well I am simply in love. Easy breezy just like wheezy in the sea breeze and redwood trees! While on break from a job i am working on in Bonita. I found a nice tranquil spot in sit back to eat lunch and enjoy a smoke. The area is just beautiful on the river with the oak tree canvas and a scene that thisa collier native can only describe as home. Anyway all of a sudden music filled the air. Ended up sugar shack is right across the river. Wow what a mixture true south florida landscape with music that matched it so well i could only describe as heaven on earth. Hope timing works out to where i will be working next the same time that there is a band playing.
