I find is staggering that in 150k in therapy none of this was mentioned, not to mention "education." It seems as if in order to even grasp the most important things that impact our lives we have to stumble upon them in mid-life from strangers and youtube.

Neuro-science is "new" but trauma and cultural responses including forgetting and suppression of trauma begin with the greeks. The paradigm is referenced in the medusan mythology.
