The influx of Nollywood actors to Cameroon is because we've shown them that our movie industry has potential, thanks to one of our prominent actor/producer Kang Quintus for putting us on the map with fisherman's dairy. Let's encourage this colabo because we need them to go global. Look at what's happening to the Ghanaian movie industry, they decide to return to Ghana to act ALL Ghanaian movies, forgetting that they gained global recognition due to their collaboration with Nollywood, and now their movie industry is suffering.
Another interesting episode, you guys never disappoint…. I’m very impressed with ongoing activities in the entertainment industry (collabos with Nollywood) ….. As someone from just across the border (Akwa Ibom) I’m very Pro Cameroon…. however I’ll like to state Nigeria is not in competition with our brothers, in an earlier episode your guest Brenda Elung insinuated soon Cameroon wouldn’t need Nigerian faces on their movies to sell and in yet another episode it was said with Kang Quintus having his “leg through the door” (Netflix) he doesn’t need Nigerian faces on his movies, this assertion is not necessary and unfortunate. I don’t think Nigerians are insisting or forcing themselves onto Cameroonian movies, if an investor (executive producer) see the need to have them, so be it. Secondly Nigeria is not standing still or on pause for Cameroon to catch up with us, the last time I checked, Nigerian movies are been up loaded weekly onto Netflix, and in any case Cameroonian movies would still need Nigerians viewership because of the numbers...and may the Cinemas…🤔
I loved watching this episode. The questions were very good. My takeaway was the fact that Claudio said he will take the point made back to his team. That's how we grow. 👏👏
Great team work/topic of discussion. If you guys can discuss on what is the place of writers in the Cameroon entertainment industry? Lyricist, film writers, content creators etc cuz i think everybody wants to be at the frontline and thats not helping the industry #joanngomba, #kwohelonge, #Yanamax, #freakytable
Interesting but I still think it diverts from the main heading. I learnt more on the legal binding, rules and regulations governing an investment. Why highlight the word diaapora whereas even local investors faces the same challenges. It should have been "Some Challenges encountered by investors when investing in the entertainment industry in Cameroon"
The roland fomumdam post on the success in america been more of a dream and that true success can be back home, should have been highlighted though. Is that true? Are there less opportunities for success and growth back home or in the west?
Great show and great points from Z. He's known to always call it as he sees it so I'm not surprised. By the way what's up with these comments about cryptocurrencies on this platform? Looks like it's being hacked because the comments are completely unrelated to the video or whatever TFT has ever talked about in the past.
Nigeria is not cameroon's competition just like America is not Canada's competition. The best Canadian stars make all their money from America. If cameroon is to rise, most of the money would be made from Nigeria. It's simple market economics. Let's take advantage.
I’m look for an investor willing to invest in animal rearing, I’m in Cameroon and I have registered my business under small and medium size company sarl
