This video made me return to my 11 years old back when I'm almost 28 years old... My neighbor (2 years younger than me) from in front of my house used to bring the snes to my home and we played it hours on multiplayer mode... I loved these golden times... Everyone on this video feels the same I you were born in 80's almost 90's :)
I used to play this game with my mom all the time. We never got past the Twin Fossils but oh my god was it fun. The music in this game was just wonderful, it never got old. Plus... FISH SHIPS! What was there not to love about this game? It's so enjoyable to watch this video to see the ending (There were 5 if I recall) of such an awesome SNES game. Really makes me want to play it again *sighs*
I used to take out everything, and I mean EVERYTHING on the first level. There were no survivors, zero, period, full stop. The ground of Rilair was littered with the metallic corpses of the fallen enemy vessels. I was the Grim Reaper to Belsar and hs weak and puny forces. I wish that was an achievement on a side-scrolling or vertically scrolling shooter, you know, where you kill everything on a level? Also, by the time that I was done on this game, I would have like around 3,000,000 points or so, which means that you have a LOT to catch up on if you are going to be as good at this game as I was, World of Longplays.
14:54 Game design, ladies and gentleman! Not doing a THING for ten seconds, in a shoot 'em up! 20:54 Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing... 23:57 THIS is the final boss!? It never has been so pathetically EASY!
He got one of the easy patterns for the final level, which has multiple enemy sets. He only got one crab at the end, which allowed him to hide in the corner. If he tried that shit during the set that drops crabs every 5 seconds, he'd have gotten a game over.
la cancion mas paja de darius es la del nivel 5 (nivel bajo el agua) para es la mejor y la mas agradable aunq este nivel del juego parece durar poco y su jefe da la impresion de ser un poco mas dificil q los demas =)
I recently bought this game for my snes and the highscore-save doesn't work. Is it that they erased the highscore-save for the console or is it just something wrong with my game?
Snes only can record data with internal cartridge battery. Usually a cr2032 or cr2025 battery ( www.cs.umb.edu/~bazz/snes/cartpcb_illustrated.png ) , and easily can be found. But as far as I know, this game doesn´t save highscores.
they have this on Wii Shop for Wii finally...sadly its not on WiiU e-shop just yet...but their slowly phasing in all the Wii VC content so it may come eventually...for now you can get it on WiiU by buyying it on Wii then doing a System Transfer
watch?v=QofENI_pl8c I have been trying to figure out what triggers each ending since, there is only one final level. I only have the save state before Super Alloylantern's mouth because I wasn't making a movie. I got this ending (3) by luck and got the other endings by experimenting (1, 2). Could you try to get the same results as the video? I can say that having a good kill count in Zone L is not a factor after seeing this, which makes things easier. Thanks.
Actually, it is an anagram of Taito Corp. and one of them is actually a girl, as is revealed in Darius Gaiden, a blonde lady with blue eyes, to be precise, Ambrose Burnout.
The fact that you would shoot along with the music makes you my hero.

I used to play this game EVERY day after school, it helped me to forget all the stress.
Dat music... never gets old. :D

this was the only game in SNES i could play for 2p with one control on my hands and the other control using both my feet.
I remember playing this game and now I’m like “damn I should have beat the brakes off this game with all these power ups.”
i just played through this. coolest thing is there's no slowdown. good game
Great memories ... Never beat it though, but still loved to play it.
This music is the music of my childhood. It's perfect.
The game designers for this game must have been fisherman.
That's because the WHOLE Darius series has aquatic themed bosses.
Well,Japan is a island country after all.
Zone H gave me a heart attack when you had no shield!
Darius twin is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and STUNNINGLY AMAZING on SNES 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
this game is so much easier when you have the controller with switches that keep a button activated infinitely.
I think the game developers had a strong craving for seafood when they made this!
20:08 Split your lungs with blood and thunder!
Guifred Strucc When you see the w....blue?! whale.
I had no idea that there was another ending to this game. I thought it was just, "We got to Darius but had to turn back."
hours upon hours i spent ass kid playing this when my parents would take us places in one of those with the tv and game connections
lol, "ass kid". meant as A kid
also, meant one of those VANS as a kid.
I've never seen anyone beat this game without losing a single life.

OliKad I had heard good things about this game.
I heard wrong.
I heard wrong as well...
It's a much better game the first few times you play it before you realize how everything has an easy pattern to it.
@@KertaDrake It's a shame the game was designed that way, because the idea of playing a shmup with 2 players was actually really cool ;-;

Loved the first stage music. :D
Wow I didn't know fish can evolve into mechanical beings that invades outer space.
bomb ass game brings memories from a long time ago
A bit short and easy...but still one of the better looking and sounding SNES shmups
Oh this is sooooo on my wish list!
Thanks for the explanation in the subs , are very helpfull.
Does this game and Mega Man X have the same soundfont (if not similar soundfonts)?
20:08 I love this song
22:22 I just HATE this enemy XD

12:20 super Saiyan achieved xD
Why do first level themes always leave the best first impressions? 😊
It really feels like they ran out of time near the end of the game.
Pilot The Silverhawk Fighter, And Blast The Belser Aliens Once Again In DARIUS TWIN For Your Super Nintendo Entertainment System From Taito!
You are some kind of good! Keep up the excellent work my friend. =)
You're Amazing!!

This is the first video game I ever bought
Resogun on the PS4 reminded me of this game.
I think the ending depends on how many lives you lose. At least, that's what I found out when I was playing it.
That's definite but, finding out how the game determines what ending you'll get seems to involve more than that like stage path, imo.

How did you get a white shield in Zone B after losing your shield entirely?
The invaders are fish robots!

At 1:25, the fish there looks somewhat like Nemo from 'Finding Nemo,' doesn't it?
(09:46) Why there is a Reaper ? Report it to Citadel and Commander Shepard.

There was a guy who lives local selling an Original Darius Arcade machine for £500, with I had the space...
Hey wait what! Mutalisks at 8.15 ? ;)
This game is the shit. I still play it daily on my snes emulator..that boss music tho..
Tons of recycled content. 20:54 that's some embarrasing level design lol.
For those of you who cannot pronounce "Darius" in this case it should be pronounced, "duh-RY-us" (IPA: /də'raɪəs/)
26:20 big gun
MODE 7 at it's finest!
Where?
I got a better weapon there is a trick to make it a big ball
Kinda reminds me of Gradius
I never understood the final boss
Actually, this whole game doesn't make sense lol
Seriously, Proco and Tiat? How unsubtle could these guys be?
+alienspacebat mmh care to explain?
Marcel Weber It's Taito Corp backwards. It took me a while to figure that out too.
Actually, it is an anagram of Taito Corp. and one of them is actually a girl, as is revealed in Darius Gaiden, a blonde lady with blue eyes, to be precise, Ambrose Burnout.
Jogo legal.
everything in this game was funny.... except for the final boss... he sucks.
