    I appreciate the video having a pattern on one side would really help me understand the concepts of how things are working much better.

    I wish this included a tutorial for adding the lining- I’ve never done it before and it’s just a bit intimidating

      totally agree!! And it is in the plans this year to remake a video that includes the lining because yes it's pretty complicating hehe

    Would you have suggestion on were to get some fabric for a Shinobu kimono? I saw in some videos you have one of those as well and I was wondering where you purchased the fabric for it at.

    • @ndlwrkshop
      @ndlwrkshop  2 года назад +3

      For our Shinobu kimono we bought an oversized kimono of hers online and recut it using our patterns so we could add our pockets and lining.
      Alternatively, I've seen her pattern available on Spoonflower which is where we bought our fabric for Nezuko's outfit.
      Hope this helps!

    I have rewatched and looked at the paper pattern several times and I can not figure out the collar. Do I flip the kimono right side lol it and flip the collar as well and then pin it? I’m so confused

    • @ndlwrkshop
      @ndlwrkshop  Год назад

      The unsewn edge of the collar needs to be aligned to the neckline of the kimono, right side of the fabric to right side of the fabric. There are notches along the collar that align with the shoulder seam and notches on the kimono. I hope this helps otherwise, feel free to email us and out team will do it's best to help out!

    not trying to be mean or anything sorry if i sound that way, but its not a kimono,its a haori!
    example: Nezuko's Pink clothes is a Kimono, and the black out part, is her haori. so yeah!!!

    • @ndlwrkshop
      @ndlwrkshop  Год назад +1

      You are correct! We use the work kimono so it's more easily identifiable for people who are not familiar with Japanese clothing. It is listed as a haori / kimono in our online store!

    when sewing the arms to the bodice, are you supposed to sew the un overlocked side (the hem) or the overlocked side to the bodice? i've been struggling with this for like 2 hours now lol

    • @ndlwrkshop
      @ndlwrkshop  11 месяцев назад

      The hem is always the bottom of a piece example: the hem of a dress is the lower edge at the legs, the hem of the sleeve is the area by the wrist.
      In this case, you'll sew the overlocked edge to the side seam for the bodice. You have a notch at the sleeve to match the seam of the shoulder and two more notches that'll match up at the front and back of the sleeve and bodice. Sew between the front and back notches!

    Is the seam allowance already measured in for your patterns or is that something the customer must add

    • @ndlwrkshop
      @ndlwrkshop  2 года назад

      The seam allowance is included on the pattern and it is 1cm unless specified otherwise
