they were adults 3-4 years ago too dumbass, everyone knows that Hasan's been bunkered up in his room / making IRL content and always streaming for a long time now. it's gotten him success but it often comes at social consequences. they're still buds but just not as close as before.
not really...streaming the amount he does is not normal for adult worktime. he is single and doesnt have time to do anything with his best friend of over a decade despite being in the same city. unhealthy life
I don't think his schedule can be considered normal. ~8 hours everyday of the week with 1 hour a day to prepare.. that mf listens to NPR in the gym for god's sake.
Yeah but normally people take the weekend off. And its also kind of different working a 9-5 from a 12-9. When you stream during those times of the day by the time you get off the entire day is over.
@@movieblocks9164when you get minimal time to yourself between working 9-5, running errands and unwinding after long days the weekend feels like major respite, a lot of the time people won’t want to dedicated hours of a Saturday to just hang out with the same friend over and over. Working life and adulthood takes its toll.
This is not just streaming. Normal people work 8 hr shifts to get paid minimum wage and have less time for friends. Hasan is the only streamer that takes streaming seriously. All others just do it as a hobby.
Most of the big streamers don't stream just as a hobby. The fact is that streaming at the top makes so much money that they can afford to only work like 4-5 hours. Hasan (and XQC) is the big exception to the rule.
Others don't do it as a hobby. Hasan and xqc have twitch brainrot. They'd probably make a similar amount of money being live for half as long. Hasan mentioned that by the time he went to Japan he had already gotten his minimum contractual hours done way before he left. I dunno about xqc but Hasan doesn't even acknowledge donations and subs. Streamers who sell their attention through TTS, shouting out subs, reading donos etc are the only ones who benefit from streaming absurd amounts of time.
How do you know? I think if streamers make money then they are taking it seriously. They are wasting their entire life on streaming. Usually you cant waste all of your day making money from a hobby.
@Jas Likes Water I think this is just a consequence of growing up, life, and people having jobs. At least they mention sometimes that they talk to him so they're at least still friends. And they were having fun when he was on the TMG podcast. Or when Hasan did Hotlaps with Noel.
i dont know much about will and hasan's friendship, but Nick and Soda's is stuff of legends mate. They are basically internet's first gaming duo, back in the good ol days of 2011 and 2012. I think that's why I have so much respect for nick is cause of his impact in soda's life.
@@joaquin5028 that's about the same as Hasan and Will. They met in college and they're in their 30s. Think Nick and Soda's friendship still has a couple years on them tho

I feel Will here and I love their relationship. But Will was suppose to go to Japan with Hasan and he chose to go to this OTK event instead. So, I don’t feel like only an engagement getting him out would be entirely accurate. But I’m an outsider looking in 🤷🏻♂️
What Hasan talks about on stream is absolutely not "just what's going on on stream" what is Will talking about? Hasan talks about current events, it literally does warrant how invested Hasan is in it
I'm saying this as a 4 year hasan sub, he streams way too much. Even in Japan, I know its parasocial but I wish he'd balance work and social life more for his own sake.
@Matter The statement is flawed but it does seem like Will is able to party just as hard as ever and Hasan is unable to stay up past 10 pm unless he's watching One Piece. They're still clearly are really good friends but find it hard to do shit
Also with Hasan and Rae pretty much dating at this point. Will got replaced basically. It happens, that's how life is. Time to get new friends or least IRL friends that aren't in the streaming world.
Honesty hasan loss, will is soo cool and nice and who knows, mabey otk will. Jk but I definitely see that on hasan, and it seems like destiny knew it the whole time.

I have friends I haven't seen since highschool that I will occasionally talk to and still greatly consider friends. I'm even going to one of their weddings next month. You have an insanely immature attitude towards friendships. Life has limited time and we don't have enough time for everyone and everything on this planet. We have to make choices about how we'd like to spend our time and the future we'd like to forge. It doesn't inherently lessen the value of a friendship to focus on one's own life and career for a while. And it's normal and natural to feel loss and a yearning for the old times when friendships were at their peak, but they ebb and flow as most things do in life.
hasan just has no work life balance… he’s always like “i can’t do anything because i have to stream every day for 8-10 hours”, like bro you’ve made enough money that you aren’t living stream to stream for income… you aren’t chat’s prisoner you can choose not to stream for a day or a few days or a week if you want to. i think he’s a bit of a workaholic and that’s fine. i just wish he would spend more time on his personal life and relationships if his streaming is interfering with them.
i think hasan also feels a social responsibility to use his platform for as long as he has it. He saw what happen to the young turks, he knows hes not going to have this sort of impact and affect on the political discourse forever.
@@GiveMeTheRice it really isnt if that was the case he would have negoiated a contract similar to other streamers to have a higher ad density, stream less hours, take more sponsorships to make more money while streaming less.
