Those Vampires ain't so tough... Sure, they might out maneuver us at times, but The Patient has a good habit of inducing unexpected direction changes in his enemies. What fun it was to put his strength to the test!
After this, we'll only have a few episodes left until we're ready to enmesh. There are some truly insane missions up ahead... hope to see you there!

Goodness, feckle friends is basically a slap across the face, as the missions before were standard, and all of a sudden, BOOM, vampires that can heal, frequent knockdowns, it bewilders me. And it only gets worse from here...
true, but fire one shots them, torches are true candy life savers.
After a few runs myself, the 2nd half of FIckle Friends really feels like a spike in difficulty, with later levels being much easier, even on Madness. There's no shame on picking a lower difficulty in order to adjust it to the flow of progression or "skip" it. If anything, it tests the current build's ability to adapt to a specific situation, where most other missions allow much more varied solutions.
The tough bits give little room for you and 3-5 clingy enemies that will stunlock you if too close or lunge at you if too far. Guns and throwing knives are out of the question unless you focussed on the Tactics stat like a Tinkerer. Even leaving the club with two torches at 100%, they will likely break before the next supply. Dual stakes turned out to attack swiftly enough to atleast hold them off while "improvised weapons" guarantees a freekill and a two-second-breather. The Chef sells a fire knife sometimes, which makes things much easier.
On a sidenote, the Offering class heals the current corpus and refills a missing one when finishing off the dizzied brutes. Flashbangs and grenades might also be an idea, will test that when i get back to it on my current run.
Update: Flashbang works for the big purple bruisers while the yellow vamps lunge away and proceed to lunge at you right afterwards. Turns out low strength makes the fire knife too slow to be effective. An MP on Range 2 with high mag and ~20 Tactics works well as long as Snap-Dodging keeps you safe. Much like with Zeds and other enemies with several Corpus blocks, blasting the head hard enough will stop them from getting up again.
@@devarious1988 ey have you tried playing fist focused character ? they are neigh impossible to kill even vampire with their bs melee enemy or vampires will get slaughtered, everytime they get dazed once the combo start to build up it free execution plus after fence appear the double healing just make you fully heal during the execution.
Melee character are fun as well but also low key too op even the boss which in my first playthough die multiple time to got his corpus instantly destroyed with ONE single swing, which was weird the fact i had a very bad character didn't even min maxing him at all (although it could be because i was using that "lightsaber" weapon from fence )
@@devarious1988 TBh i feel like the fickle friends mission was to test your ability to inflict dmg on enemies and your build, the later mission like the slaughter house was more or less the ability to dodge and how fast you kill them,the asylum one just straight up annoying no challange at all, other mission was decent i guss the one with multiple enemy i just gun them down, and the head quarter one was easy or hard depend on what build you were doing.
If you are playing a low strength character and play fickle friends the best option, is to take the stakes as side arms then switch to take the torch it gaurantee your survival since torch deal insane dmg to vampire also have a chance to burn them and it can turn into stakes which is free weapons if you are in a tough situation never use the stake as improvised weapons unless you have more than 2 so that you can save some to kill the brutes
Only in Madness will you see Ghosts with guns shooting at you

In the future, the torches the Street Toughs carry are extremely deadly to vampires. It does fire damage AND causes them to burn to death, so they have no chance of resurrection. To top it off, when to torch breaks it turns into a stake, so you can instagib another vampire. Another excellent episode of betsy and friends Batesee!

The stress I experienced from getting through the vampire mission by the skin of my teeth aged me by, like, a year.
This point onwards is when the game starts throwing curveball after curveball, except instead of baseballs, they're hand grenades.
You were my favorite RUclipsr for the longest time, and I was saddened to see your video a while back announcing your departure from RUclips (but of course I know people gotta live their lives the way they wanna). Today I was feeling particularly nostalgic and decided to look up your channel to re-watch your cry of fear videos, only to find that you’re uploading again!!!!!!!! It’s good to see your vids again, really made my day. Hope you’re doing well.

Well, for melee i recommend welders, or if you can get em, Fire slayer knives. Also a laser pistol is invaluable.

bro vampires are annoying
EDIT: when commanding hirelings, press CTRL + RMB (right click) on a hireling, it will show the indicator is blue and not the other hirelings. CTRL + MMB (Middle mouse) tells the hirelings to stay in a place, so they don't keep following you.
EDIT 2: i used experiment origin and it kinda worked, phew vampires are so hard to kill
the ghi and the headband are very useful, they increase your punch speed

@@TheBatesee it isn’t that bad if you use nexus blade, and just call in reinforcements. Also make sure your underlings are using melee weapons so you don’t have to worry about the stupidly high tac bar the enemies have, and don’t let your underlings go to the other rooms. Patience is key in hard sell, so don’t get greedy, you will regret it. Speaking from personal experience.
Hard Sell isn't as brutally hard as people make it out to be, the Nexus Core Facility is what you should worry about...
@@keztannis6848 yeah, my strategy for nexus core consisted of just buying a bunch of electric shotguns and making my subordinates as tanky as possible, and later waves once they do die just call in reinforcements once enemies stop coming in so they can take all the heat off you, and maybe even kill a few

Screwdrivers are good for vampires, but my go-to is to bring a pair of welders. Not only do they do fire damage and have solid durability, but they're also pretty cheap.

Also: I recommend purchasing either the gloves, or the defibrillators and, later, the puncturers, they make any melee weapon/gun near useless due to a decrease in attack speed and rate of fire, but damn, they make your punches hit like two trucks
I think the worst mission in the game would be Climb!(especially on madness dificulty)

Edit: if you have the chance, play the not enough madness mod, it’s more than a cheat, it literally gives you more access to make a new character, and you can play against new enemies with different music in both the story and the arena mode

What's your computer like, Batesee? Because I tried running this game with 8 gb of ram and a 1060 and it just did not work out, so I wanna know if it's the specs or if there's some optimization mumbo-jumbo that i haven't figureed out yet.
Try playing with low resolution windowed it helped me to get it working on my potato pc.
