looking at the lyrics as well, it might be that Joseon represents modern Korea and the king represents the current Korean music industry that tried to keep and hunt him down. At the end we can see that he managed to get the whole country to move with him, that's why maybe the executioner also cuts him loose and gives him a gun to kill the rotten, "pill-popping" (probably represents the beauty standards idols are forced into), Korean industry. This is the only thing that defers from your assessment, the "pill-popping" really stood out to me so that's why I came to this conclusion. I appreciate the knowledge I'm going away from this video with though, thank you :)

In a video that showed the making of the Daechwita video, Suga explained that at the beginning of the video, when he was in the market, he made a pact with the butcher to get rid of the king. Then later, that butcher was the one acting as the "executioner" when really he was there to hand the gun to Suga to help him get rid of his old, darker self- the king. This is not a video about twins, it's about one person, Suga, confronting the darker side of himself and deciding to be rid of it.

Thanks for watching our video and leaving a lot of comments!
These are my answers for your questions!
Scar and King
I found a lot, but it was hard to find that 'If a royal family has a scars, they cannot be a king'. Historically, I think royal blood and ability were more important thing. For example, ‘Hyejong’ in the Goryeo Dynasty became the king. Because he was the first son. And ‘Sejong the Great’ in the Joseon Dynasty was the third son. But he became the king. Because of his great ability. I think, royal blood and ability is important thing, generally.
Of course, August D hid many meanings in the MV. I think, there are many hidden things inside the scar. I respect opinions of Army. Scar is a really interesting element.
Baekjeong’ (Butcher)
Goryeo is a country of Buddhism. And Joseon is a country of Confucianism. As you know, Buddhism did not like killing. And Confucianism, except scholars and farmers, did not respect other jobs. ‘Baekjeong’ kills animals, and is not a scholar or a farmer. So, during the Goryeo Dynasty and Joseon Dynasty, ‘Baekjeong’ is not a good job.
For reference, Agust D said, ‘Baekjeong’ is a member of his team. And ‘Baekjeong’ is the same person as ‘Mangnani’ executioner.

The scarface could also be a reference to the classic movie SCARFACE. It’s known among we armys and yoongi has said it before that he loves the movie so maybe it could be like a homage to it. Thank you for the reaction and explanation, it really helps us that we’re trying to study Hangul💜

Thank you for answering! I agree with the above comment about the scar probably being more related to Agust D's earlier song, Tony Montana, with Scarface, especially as I've only seen this rumor of scars and royalty be explained by others as a reference to Korean historic dramas.
Plus, Scarface's plot parallels a lot with Gwanghaegun's story, about a man who struggled against the odds to reach the height of power, but after, he becomes more violent and reckless, which led to his ultimate downfall.

First of all, a very wonderful and detailed interpretation if the video .Kudos to you for that.
I'd seen in one of the reviews that the girl opening the box has AMI ( for army ) engraved as her nail decoration. So it's the army handing him the key.
Also I found somewhere that the gun used in the end also has a model name with Army. Finally with the support and trust of his fans he regains the crown but standing firmly grounded and not letting his head float in the air ( the way the king walks in the end shows he might be intoxicated , intoxicated by fame or money ie;)
Overall this video has set a benchmark on its own that's extremely hard to break in many counts.
Beautiful visuals, mind blowing music and the acting of Yoongi is also so so unrealistically good that I could easily say that this is an epic video.
      Much love from India.

Very good video, I learned a lot from it. Thank you ! ☺️👍 To the people learning korean, when you watch a youtube video/drama/music video in korean, watch it first with English subtitles and then watch it again with the korean subtitles and focus on the pronunciation. (⚠️Choose just a little part of it, not the entire video, especially if the video is a long one or if it’s a drama/movie.) Try to read the korean subtitles at the same time or pause the video and try to repeat what the person said in the video/song/drama from time to time. Write down the vocabulary that you don’t know 📝 but don’t forget to add 1 (or more exemple sentences [I usually write 1 to 3 exemple sentences, not more. Don’t write too much and choose simple sentences]) it’s better to learn the words in context than just the word alone without context. I hope this will help someone. 💜👍 another helpful tip: write down some korean words related to what’s in your house and stick the little papers on the objects in your house. (stick the word 문 on the door for exemple [since it’s literally on the object, no need to write the translation] 🏡🐞🐝

This is awesome! Thank you for explaining this. The music video is already so perfect for me but now I am all the more amazed because there are so many elements that went in it. It really is a film, not just an MV. It's like a Korean history lesson wrapped in a genius rap. Also, thank you for speaking slowly! Thank you for speaking rather slowly and providing subtitles! I really appreciate it, as someone who is trying to build up the courage to really immerse myself in learning this language. I always find it easier to learn a new language by listening to people speak it normally, not just one word at a time. When learning Spanish, I really found it helpful to watch the television dramas. Hopefully watching K-dramas will be just as helpful for me now. But I feel this channel will really aid me as well. Thanks again! ♡

I really enjoyed listening to your interpretation. Great job! Suga in MV's behind the scene said that the king with blond hair is Agust D from 4 years ago (his first mixtape was released 4 years ago and back then he had blond hair) and Agust D with black hair is present. Also, Suga is 'royal blood' - Yeoheung Min clan. Did you notice, that the king has a fresh scar, and the black-haired has healed? Someone said that real king can't have scar. It's true?

Thanks for watching our video and leaving a lot of comments!

    • @jinpark843

(Kings) should have no scars, but there are exceptions. Several kings gone through wars could not avoid scars. Also Seong Jong got scars from his first queen.
