    I can’t keep multiple journals at the same time so my journal is all in one: daily journaling, scrapbooking, books and films reviews, recipes… love this format 🥰

      That’s how I do it too ☺️ all of the examples I shared are from one journal insert

      I’ve been planning for a few years now and I’ve told myself for the last 2 years that I would start journaling. I’m thinking an all in one would work best for me, at least at first.

    I love my travel journal (I also journal after the trip) and have recently started using my planner as memory keeper too. Much more messy and freestyle, but very fun to do.

    Thank you for this series. I'm more of a daily scrapbooking journaller now. Been keeping a daily-ish journal for my son. I'm excited to see what you have the creative vid. Thanks again.

    Oh I love this video, memory keeping is something I want to do but was feeling overwhelmed. I also think my vintage style jars with modern life, but the listography might work really well. So thank you!! Inspiring as always 😀

    I have kept a journal for 45 1/2 yrs. I have always used a standard, 200 page, divided, spiral bound notebook & a blue ink, ballpoint pen. Period.
    I never embellish w/stickers or pictures or anything like that. I just write. I write about funny things our pets do, mundane things, just my life in general. I don't do it to explore myself. I don't write gratitudes or affirmations or goals. I just write what comes to mind.
    There are no Journal Police. No one is going to grade you, test you, correct your grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, or content. Journaling is highly personal & individual . Do what works for you!

    Do you personally put the 4 categories of journaling in one journal?

    • @MyAbidingJournal
      @MyAbidingJournal  2 года назад +3

      For the most part I do it all in one, but I sometimes will segment out certain things. For example I also have a planner where I do some of the Bullet journal style things like habit tracking and I have a separate prayer journal I write in every night. But I do not have a separate notebook for every type of journaling! Most of it goes in one 💛

    This video is very inspiring. I journal for 3 years now and it started out as a place to keep memories. It was really informative to see all these types of journals and I will definitely try some things and expand on them. I realized that for me it works best to just have one journal and then switch things up. If I feel like a recipy I will record that, if I feel reflective I will maybe write about my week and so on. In the past I have set too many rules and I started to feel restricted pretty soon and stopped journaling. Now My journals are a wild mix of everything but I’ve learned to love and accept it. Nevertheless this video was super helpful especially the idea of lists is something I want to incorporate more. Also this video made me realize that I like the idea of scrapbook journaling a lot and it’s what I look most at for inspiration but It never works out because I just can’t stop myself from writing a lot. Hahaha

    I'm overthinking my journaling so much :) I want to memory keep and also journal but can't decide if I want them to be together. I think I want a notebook to just pour out anything that comes to mind or feelings which aren't always the happy ones and I feel I won't want to look back at them as often as I would in a memory keeper with pictures and happy moments. So, do I divide feelings and memories? Wouldn't I be fooling myself? Sorry for the ramble, just thought maybe speaking about it would clear my head haha..

    • @MyAbidingJournal
      @MyAbidingJournal  Год назад

      I put a little bit of feelings into my memory keeping journal, but for very serious feelings writing, I have a separate notebook that is for prayers and such. I don't think it's fooling yourself. I think it's being honest about your needs and what you want to look back on

    How do you find the paper in the Moleskin XL? I've read a few things where they say there is bleed through and such?

    • @MyAbidingJournal
      @MyAbidingJournal  Год назад

      If you’re using a lot of really pigmented pens, it might not be the best. But i found most of my pens worked well. I find things stick to it really well though; I’ve been struggling to get my tape runners to hold on the archer and olive paper I’m currently using, so all depends on your go-to mediums

    I was just thinking of journaling….and how it really requires slowing down…to capture all the moments! It requires to be in the moment sometimes…pondering of what is going on around you….I wish I would of started journaling back when my first was born 16 years ago…but no better time to start than now!!!! I’m blessed and thankful for you!

    • @MyAbidingJournal
      @MyAbidingJournal  2 года назад

      Thank you Tanya, yes best to focus on all you can capture moving forward now! And you may think about recording the highlights of the last 16 years as you remember them right now so they are recorded for even later in life when they may not be as easy to recall
