It’s cheaper for the shop to drill and tap versus buy a 1000 dollar part. I broke one of used a titanium drill bit but made the mistake of using a ez out bit. Now I really got to buy a decomposition tube so for now only 2 bolts are holding the injector. I did a regen and notice traces of regen some coming from the one without the bolt
If the bolts on the Doser injector valve are a problem and risk of breaking consider removing them (time permitting) before and while unit is around and put ANTI-SIEZE LUBE everytime ! The filters have to be changed periodically and theres an opportunity to anti-seize the bolts.
Possible , there are 4 test to do 1 def pressure system . 2 def dozer drip 3 check def lines for leaks 4 ck the def fluid filter housing and gasket for leakage.
That should be on the decomp tube after the Dpf filter but in front of the SCR canister, since there are many different combinations unless I go find an exact sister truck to show you it that’s the best I can do
Thanks for the video, I have the same doser on my truck. Question I don't have a diagnostic laptop to test my doser but I'm having issues with my scr conversion. I pulled my doser and notice crystalization and blockage, happen twice can it be the doser or bad DEF quality.
Yes the def could be the issue, one do you smell the ammonia? Def has a low shelf life , the def pump has filter and filter fittings , have you cleaned the diesel DOSER valve behind the turbo? Depending on the year of your unit there was a campaign to replace the SCR canisters with ecm reflash to help with that issue how old are the N.O.X. Sensors ?
AdBlu as we call here in the UK and Europe is another way to extort money out of people and companies. No need for it, engines run clean enough in my opinion. Interesting to see!
All the back of my truck it’s covered in white residue, I was thinking on replacing the def dozer
Sometimes is the filter housing loose or cracked , the hose does leak at times , what year truck? Can you see where it starts ?
Thank you.

Had one truck 12k miles all 3 broke
I was looking for a video on actually replacing the doser not just a commentary about it.
Sorry it’s pretty straight forward , just pinch off the coolant lines and release the clips
Very good master
Where is location for def dozer for Cummins isx15 freighliner
The decomp tube, after the DPF & ahead of the SCR
So if you start getting white residue around the exhaust pipe and notice more def use does that mean it’s leaking?

If it looks white light baby powder could be the cooler also
Can you show where that goes? Is it in the engine area or by my def system? I have a 2011 ford f650 6.7 cummins. Thanks
