    Generally E40 is where you’re going to get the biggest gain. E40 is where you get 90% of the octane benefits. After that it’s mostly heat of vaporization that you’re benefiting from, but even that is non linear based on content. E40 is a great street mix. A huge chunk of the benefits without many of the drawbacks.

    Amazing informative video Adam. I drive a B9 S5 Sportback. Recently I just moved to BC from Montreal, Quebec for a new job promo and back there I used to run Costco 91 before I tuned my car to a Stage 2 93 file. From Unitronic: ADDITIONAL FEATURE ADDED - ROLLING ANTI LAG
      By popular request, Unitronic is also proud to announce the addition of Rolling Anti Lag (RAL) into these new FLEX enabled calibrations.
      FUNCTION USAGE: Turn cruise control ON, but not activated. Hold down cruise control stalk downwards (decrease speed, -), then go wide open throttle WOT. You can do this with your left fingers, while both hands are on the steering wheel with ease.
      PRECONDITIONS FOR FUNCTION TO BE ACTIVE: 70degC coolant temp minimum threshold, more than 1000rpm engine speed, more than 30kph vehicle speed, and more than 45% throttle position. The function will be activated for 6 seconds maximum and can't be re-activated for 15 seconds refresh time.

      You'd be wrong. Before experienced tuners had more and more time developing software for these motors, that was the generalized figure thrown around. Could someone please enlighten me: I was always under the impression that tq was the real killer on these cars (hence why custom tuners try to cap the tq lower than the Uni S2E85 file). I considered Uni’s Stage 1 E85 to be relatively safe since the advertised tq is 528 lb ft. Uni’s S2E85 is advertised at 564 lb ft which I’ve associated with being a bit more risky. Seeing the S2 uniflex car do a 534 wtq makes me question whether Uni has addressed the high tq complaints (or if wtq is different than their advertised numbers on their site).
    Long story short: is stage 2 uniflex at E85 safer than running their dedicated E85 tune?

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi 7 месяцев назад

      What you're forgetting is every single dyno will read differently depending on a million and one factors. Ambient temperature, density altitude, elevation, heat soak, IAT's, fuel used, type of dyno used, calibration of said dyno and more, lol.

    so from this video.. im thinking uni stage 1+ flex.... rather than the full stage 2 flex to save some money. Then invest the left over into the iroz syvecs haldex controller and light weight wheels and good tires, then go full stage 2 flex with mpi injectors after my pockets recover

      And even though you make more power on a dyno, does it hurt knowing that both of these cars would probably beat you in a race? Lol
