    I love William's videos - they are the best available!
    I was about to make this jig but then realized I had bought those Microjig dovetail clamps which allows you to clamp a board to your existing fence from behind utilizing dovetail channels. So instead of making William's box I duplicated those functions with just two pieces of 7" tall MDF. One piece has the rabbet groove and the other piece doesn't. The advantages of using these clamps are only 2 pieces of wood required and it clamps tight to your fence; it also takes up less room for storage and no cumbersome workarounds for oddly configured fences. The downside, of course, is the expense of the clamps and dovetail router bit - not an issue for me since I already had them.
    Anyway, just a simpler albeit more expensive alternative.

    Do you know what? I watched your build video before watching the fence in action. Ha
    I'm looking for a design of a fence to improve or replace the one of my cheap Stanley table saw. Looks like your design could improve it a lot without much tweaking! It's just what I need: Taller, sturdier, with a tool tray... Cool.
    Now I'm going to watch it in action! Ha
    Looks like you have many more interesting videos!

    • @wnwoodworks

      Because I put the fence on diagonally not straight up and down. Watch it at 3:47

      Gianluca Salvador what's the point?? Why unsub if they're not producing videos?

    • @gianlucasalvador3691
      @gianlucasalvador3691 6 лет назад

      I feel being subscribed to a channel as a sort of relationship with the channel's owner: he communicates with me through his videos and I can communicate with him through the comments section or with all the ways he want to provide to us (such as instagram, facebook and so on). But to establish this relationship you need contributes from both sides...
      It was almost one year from his latest video and because of this relationship point of view I stated I was tempted to unsub.
      This is NOT a way to judge the fact that there was no video since one year: it's his channel and he can do whatever he want with it: I can only and always say thanks to him for the great contents he shared with us with this channel. Actually it's exactly for this reason that, at the end, I didn't unsub.
