Yuri knocked it so hard out of the park that when you listen to 23 yo Peter in the game, you can't even notice that he's been voiced by a 47 yo man. Amazing performance.

Realising that Spiderman's voice actor is actually married to Yuri Watanabe's voice actress makes the dialogue exchange between them in the game all the more interesting.

He was my definitive Spidey voice the minute I heard he was cast. He didn't even need to say anything, his work on Ben 10 Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and especially Omniverse. Or at least my favorite Spidey. (Well actually favorite is too extreme, I don't compare any of them. Each voice actor did great in every iteration from 1990s Spider-Man to Marvel's Spider-Man and all the live action actors)

That was 2012 when he recorded for The Last of Us, meaning he was only 15 years old. Now he’s 21 and voicing Miles Morales! He did two great characters in two amazing games.

Not only does she knock her roles out of the park but all the characters she has played are very diverse.

There are two voice acting couples featured in the game. We have Yuri Lowenthal (Spider-Man/Peter Parker) and Tara Platt (Yuri Watanabe), and then we have Laura Bailey (MJ) and Travis Willingham (Kingpin/Wilson Fisk). Both are absolutely phenomenal, and it makes it so interesting to see the dynamics and chemistry between each couple, depending on the roles they play or voice. I love it when spouses or best friends work on projects like these (or even movies); it's so fun to watch the chemistry.

@@blazingexil4003 cause the older generation generally dont see videogames on the same level as big budget movies. They see videogames as like pacman, tetris or super mario at best. But nowadays videogames are catching up to the same level of immersion to big budget movies through graphics, better storytelling etc.

ya like how they did batman and catwoman in arkham city would be the perfect balance. have some missions dedicated to miles that interweve in the plot with peter but still control peter most of the time.
Nah, Miles needs to be a bigger part in the next game. His power set would be a DREAM to play in this world.
Maybe next game they share, and Miles gets a stand-alone game in the future.

Yuri was the perfect choice to play Peter/Spider-Man. He portrayed the character extremely well and is an amazing voice actor in general. I really appreciate all his work

Stephen did an AWESOME job as Martin Li/Mr. Negative. I was really glad that Insomniac used him and he was a very big part of the story as it obviously gave him more exposure outside of the comics and it's always a good thing to bring in new blood. His origin was changed in the game but it still worked great. Would love to see him in a live action film one day.
I loved how they used the backpacks to fill us in on what Spider-Man/Peter Parker has been doing the past few years. It was much better than having an expositional onslaught of the events of several years. It was also nice they explained the large number of backpacks by winning a science fair sponsored by Wilson Fisk.

What they're talking about with introducing Mr. Negative to people, and having them walk away saying "I love that villain!" is exactly what happened to me.

EDIT: Oh! I just thought of something too! What if they introduce Anti-Venom to take away Peter’s powers and have Miles take over for him as the new Spider-Man, rather than killing him like in the comics. That would be quite a unique twist to the Spidey lore.

Since there's no official name for the game's universe as of yet, I've decided to call it the Advanced universe after Spidey's suit in the game. Although they'll probably be an official name later down the line.
BradLad56 For me, I’ll just call it either the Insomniac universe or the Marvel Gaming Universe considering the upcoming Avengers game being made by Square Enix & Crystal Dynamics may be connected to this, especially establishing other Marvel characters exist in that universe
