The pilot episode of "Family Guy" premiered after this. Despite two cancellations, the adult animated series has run for 22 seasons and over 400 episodes (as of November 2023), and almost 25 years later is considered one of Fox's best and most beloved shows.
I was so happy for John Elway! He ended his career on a Super Bowl note! The first time I ever noticed him was the NCAA football game in the fall of 1982, when he led his Stanford team to win over #1 ranked UW Huskies. He was an exceptionally agile, powerful and accurate quarterback!
After all the A**whoppings he got in the past superbowls (vs NYG, WAS and SF,) John Elway never gave up and kept pounding that rock. Thats what made him a true Bronco and a warrior.
Super Bowl 50...The Magnificent 7 says "THIS ONE'S FOR PAT!", a shoutout to a man who helped this team to legendary moments. As a guy from Pittsburgh, the Broncos' win over the Steelers in the '97 AFC Championship would lead to what happened two weeks later in San Diego. John, what you said in Santa Clara was not just for Pat, IT WAS FOR ALL OF BRONCOS COUNTRY (and even fans of other teams-like me! - who admire what this franchise has done since Mr. Bowlen bought the team in '84)...and the greatest fans outside of Steeler Nation! Sorry about the 2005 AFC Championship Game, Broncos Country...but Jerome Bettis (of the 05-06 Steelers) and Ryan Harris (from the '15-'16 Broncos): SUPER BOWL CHAMPS THAT CAME FROM NOTRE DAME! #HereWeGo #BroncosCountry #WeAreND #LoveTheeNotreDame #GoIrish
I'll die on this hill: Denver still would've won, but yes, it would have been a tougher game. Minnesota had Randall Cunningham and Randy Moss with a deep threat and that was the only weakness on this Denver team. We had a great pass rush and run stoppers on defense, but was vulnerable to the deep pass. The Denver offense was on too much of a roll to be stopped so I think it would have been a high scoring game but Denver would've pulled it out.
I was born in 1991, Elway meant a lot in my childhood

John Elway Super Bowl MVP🥇
John Elway is way better than Aaron Rodgers
1:11 28-3 was way worse than this Super Bowl loss. At least this was a Falcons squad that was wide-eyed and got destroyed.
Especially because this season was way more of a fluke than the 2016 season. Our 2009 season was not a fluke
2:19 😆😆😆
Drunk
There we go. Let’s keep on going.
LET'S GO NBA!!! GO HASI GUH!!!
Would the Vikings have gave the Broncos a tougher game?
Yes

I still wonder if the Vikings had played in this game what could’ve been but they choked.
Makes me so sad all the time. Really wanted to see Moss vs that broncos secondary. I think he would’ve gone crazy
Bowlen wife was hot
