That’s when my father comes from and his family going back hundreds of years that ,s our pub on the film , we opened 1968 impossible in those days to make it pay’ we closed 1975 had to Go back to England broke my dad‘s heart’ but such as life ‘ haven’t been back for 20 years now ‘ maybe next year ! Where my ancestors are from. Went back a few years ago, and I don’t remember all the stores and restaurants..... must’ve missed them! Oh, well... just another excuse for me to visit Swineford and Derryronane again soon. The West of Ireland is the best place in the world to visit. Wonderful, fun, kind people and hauntingly gorgeous scenery. What’s not to love?
Where my ancestors hailed from. Spent a Sunday afternoon there about 5 years ago, whilst in the area watching Sligo Rovers. I plan to return and also visit Knock.
