Best tool to scrape out eggplants is a silicone spatula. And if you don't really like the taste of fresh garlic, wrap the garlic in alu foil and bake them together with the eggplants. No need to clean the cloves, they get soft and you can squeeze them out. Roasted garlic has a mild nutty taste, just lovely.

Youmnaa you are amazingg really ! and I got goosebumps just from hearing you talking lebanese food and from how much you are so passionate about it ! thank you for making lebanese food popular and thank you for helping out all the lebanese immigrants out there that are living without their moms or family anymore and teaching them how to cook and do lebanese food. All the love and support from Lebanon bet3a2de!!
I love this!!!! I usually buy a platter that comes with Falafel, baba ganoush, Hummus, Tabouli, Kibbeh, Stuffed grape leaves, and rice pilaf from the Lebanese restaurant near my house but my wallet has been going through some distress lately 😅 so I'm definitely gonna give it a go and make it from scratch at home. I'm originally from the Caribbean but I loveeeeeeeee Lebanese food so much seriously! Thank you so much!!!!
I am trying this right now! Just put the eggplant in the oven, I've made this for years but stopped because I was always disappointed by the appearance. The color would be too dark and unappealing. I have high hopes for your recipe! Your vegan grapeleaves recipe is now the only one I use! Thank goodness I found YOU!!!! Keep up the incredible work you are making me very happy!! xoxo
@@Feelgoodfoodie hello! :) i sent u a message on Instagram because i have a problem :( my homemade tahini became bitter and hard to swallow it was so unpleasant so it ruined the baba ganoush.. Im Chinese and no clue about this... Is it really bitter or did i make mistake
I happened to your channel and made this for my family today. It was easy. When they saw I bought an eggplant, they were saying nooo, I can`t wait for tonight when they think it is from hummus and I spring it on them! Great taste and easy !
Just a fun variation that I like doing is roast a bulb of garlic coated with a little olive oil and wrapped in foil the use that instead of the raw. Raw garlic is great but roasted tends to be a little milder. Either way, you be you.
is it possible to fill it in jars and keep it longer...maybe a few months ?? that would be useful during off-season when the eggplants are extremely expensive.
For me, I personally don't like blending the mixture into a completely, fine paste that which kinda looks like chocolate ice cream. I like very small chunks and eggplant to give that texture and that BITE.
All good But I pierce the eggplant with a fork all around and then grill it on my stove all around then I put two peeled garlic with salt and crush them into a paste then I add tahini ( sesame seed paste ) and usually I squeeze lemon 🍋 but I find white vinegar gives it a even better taste and mix it all together then decorate with olive oil and chopped parsley around it 👍🏼🇱🇧❤️🇦🇺
Aloha! I just finished making this for the first time. It smells and looks delicious. It looks just like yours. my brother, whom requested this said it looked to creamy so next time i wont blend as much maybe. Mahalo for this recipe. ~helen
You can find the tahini at Middle Eastern markets, natural-foods stores. Most large supermarkets now carry it as well, often located with other Middle Eastern ingredients or in the peanut butter section.
All middle eastern grocery stores have it. Superking is one of them. I am not sure where exactly in California you are, but we have them here in southern California
I remember when I was 10 I said to her you’re the CEO of so good she said OMG thank you I’m gonna put it in my bio and I have forgot about this cooker and now I remember her what the hell happened her house is completely changed LIKE WOW
Dont watch this if you haven't eaten anything all day and never ever go to krogers after especially if you drive an suv or pickup truck that will hold $1.5k worth of groceries

Love those tips!
@@Feelgoodfoodie So good ! but it's Moutabal and not Baba Ganoush. Baba Ganoush doesn't have tahini at all !
My mom and I made this recipe together - outstanding!! 10/10 and would recommend this to anyone

Im making my own tahini because the bottle from store is expensive :) i blend salt, olive oil and roasted sesame seeds
That's a great idea!!

@@sysamanthahope9033 tahini is bitter, I don't really like it either haha
Skip salt and use a good quality olive oil.
Also, don’t overroast the sesame, since it will turn out bitter.
Thank you. I can’t wait to make it!
Let me know what your thoughts are once you do!
Amazing... perfectly presented ... i am a big fan
Thank you so much!
I love the lebanesse recipe for you
A well done instructional. Thank you!

Aww, thank you so much! I'm so glad to be of inspiration.
Gonna try that too i love Lebanese food. I watched most of your videos in cooking 🧑🍳

I am going to make this, I have been telling my father I miss baba ghanoush soo much
I have tried it .. super easy and delicious
love it my mom is from jordan amd 94 yrs old we made it toda with homegrown eggplants
Beautiful simplicity. I'm going to try this today and fry my aubergine instead
Sounds great!
I made this tonight even the tahini and I love it! Thanks for this recipe! ❤️
Yay! Most welcome!!

I'm so glad to hear that! You're so welcome!
Very well explained
Thanks
Ah thanks looks delicious
Thank you so much!
I enjoyed watching your videos!
Thank you!
It taste awsome, small variant for me, I prefere just to squash the eggplant with a fork, I prefere that texture. Thank you very much.
I just made it - very delicious. Question: can I freeze it? Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 😊
Khay!! I found a fellow lebanese!!!!!
Nice n easyvrecepie. Very well presented.
Any substitute for tahini? And can use almond yogurt instead?
I made this it was so good thank you 🙏
Can we cook/roast the eggplant in the air fryer?
MY FAV OTHER LEBANESE DISH😫💖✨
It's just so good!!
I bought my sesame seeds dated Sept. 2022 and didn’t open from the plastic can I still used it to make Tahini ? New viewer . Cheers !

Does it taste good if I use olive oil instead of tahini ?
Baba Ganoush is a delight.
Thank you for giving me this link. I love baba ganoush! ❤❤❤
You're so welcome! Hope you enjoy this one!!
Can we directly put sesame seeds if we don’t have tahini ?
Is there a difference between Baba Ganoush and Mutabal? Can I use the dark tahin instead of the light version?
Thank you! Will serve to my vegan wife tonight!
The white or purple eggplants are sweeter and less bitter than the dark one's.
is it possible to fill it in jars and keep it longer...maybe a few months ?? that would be useful during off-season when the eggplants are extremely expensive.
Lebanese food soo tasty
what I get from this is that we can go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and go ahead
Looks delicious 😋
Thank you!! Hope you get a chance to give it a try!
Is this 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 400 degrees Celsius for the oven?
Love it.. Love from India ❤
Thank you!!!
Love your channel! Thanks!
that dismembered thumbs up is so funny 👍
Great video and not only is the babaghanosh vegan but also barely any carbs - so no harmful insulin spike❤️👍
Nice 👍 thankyou 💕

what if you peel/skibn the eggplants first?
Excellent... Recepie moreover beautiful English pronounced I liked it ❤️

I do this too - firing the eggplant skin over the flame before baking. Gives it an extra smokiness that’s amazing.
Yes!👨🍳🙋🏻♀️💃
🎉
Can i use dried parsley instead of fresh
For sure!
Greet Mam your resipe

great recipe but need 2 tablesoons of yougart to be added 😃😃😃
How can I use an air fryer
I love it with kafta kabobs
Same here!!
Eggplants are pretty
They really are!
Both - tahini and olive oil have to be used for proper Baba Ghanoush. Also, kumin is needed.
How much cumin?
I saw another food channel add cumin, can we also add paprika?
I'm sure you could!
How long can you keep it in the fridge?
Store any leftovers in an airtight container for about 7 days in the fridge.
I don't have pomegranate but i have baby tomatoes can i put that on top instead
Yes! The garnishes are completely optional.
If u guys like this then u gonna love trini style eggplant choka aka baigan choka
Can i use the ungrounded sesame seeds ??
I do not recommend it.
Hi can I know the weight of the eggplant please 😊
Can I use straight up hummus instead of tahini paste?
For best results, I'd follow the recipe as is! However, instead of tahini paste, you could use olive oil!
@@Feelgoodfoodie I will use olive oil, but can I use hummus too...?
@@rasha_rose3227 if you used hummus it wouldn't be baba ghanoush...
How much tahini did you use?
1/4 cup! Here is the full recipe: feelgoodfoodie.net/recipe/baba-ghanoush/

Allahu akbar!
I love your recipes, but it's the seeds in the eggplant that taste bitter, not the skin
Thank you! You can definitely remove them to temper the bitterness too.

not conventional but I love it with hot lime Cheetos!
U dropped a pommegrannete piece :)
hi, what is teeny?? you mean tahini
Is this really babaganush?
Can we use chinise eggplant instead?
I would use American eggplant.
You didn’t mention how much tahini sauce you used ?
¼ cup tahini

A lot of changes have definitely happened over the past few years!
I put the skin in. It has more nutrition.
Why not keep the eggplant skin? Healthier! 😅
Because the skin is exceptionally tough & often bitter

I'm confused. I thought this was muta'bal and baba ghanouh was the dip made with pomegranate molasses and no tahini
