not the smartest choice when it comes to money id say, one of my tips to saving is only buy for characters you REALLY love but to each his own.

Statues are so pointless
They add some decoration and they look nice for people who are into the franchises the characters are from, I can see why you say they're "useless" since they don't provide any functionality aside from decoration, similar to posters, paintings, etc.
