3 Easy "Nice Cream" Recipes w/ Ingrid Nilsen!

- I invited my friend Ingrid Nilsen over to make some "nice cream" or dairy free vegan ice cream with me! We made: Pumpkin Pie Nice Cream, Matcha Pistachio Nice Cream, and Dragon Fruit Nice Cream!
RECIPES:
1. PUMPKIN PIE NICE CREAM: 4 frozen bananas, 1 C canned pumpkin, 1/3 C maple syrup, 1.5 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2. MATCHA PISTACHIO NICE CREAM: 3 frozen bananas, 3 TBS coconut cream, 1 TBS matcha powder
3. DRAGON FRUIT NICE CREAM: 4 frozen bananas, 1 frozen Pitaya pack, 1 TBS agave nectar

+suritaz Some frozen banana chunks plus a spoonful (ish - sorry, not a precise measurement) of cocoa can make chocolate "nice cream." Doesn't even require any other sweetener or anything since the bananas are sweet, and it's really good.
In the description underneath the pumpkin pie nice cream recipe it says "male syrup" 😂😂😂

+P E P E I like my meat, but find having to add it to vegan recipes because I have a egg allergy developing(My Brother has one to) plus Lactose intolerant and Gluten Intolerant, any idea how hard it is to find recipes for that?

I often make chocolate 'nice cream' with a 'caramel sauce'. I add medjool dates and cacao to the frozen bananas, then for my sauce I use peanut butter and rice syrup mixed together. DIVINE!

My favourite way to make "nice cream" is blending up bananas, dates, mulberries, and a sprinkle of cacao powder and then topping it with a chopped up date and a little sprinkle of mulberries. Such a delicious treat. It's almost decadent!

my favorite is frozen mango, frozen banana and milk (whatever milk you want.) it still has that ice cream texture and looks like vanilla ice cream! plus it's delicious😍.

For chocolate you can just add 100% unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao. Then add a sweetner of your choice! For vanilla you can add actual vanilla bean and vanilla extract!

I made the pumpkin pie one... it was ok and I ate half of it for breakfast yesterday. Today, I turned the rest into a milkshake and it is soo good! Just added vanilla soymilk and a little more nutmeg and cinnamon :)
I always find RUclips collabs like this a little bit weird. Like, "Today I'm with my friend..." but you probably met 15 minutes ago? It's not bad, it's just weird and kind of fake.

You can get the the frozen pitaya plus packs at whole foods
+elmer salazar Some grocery stores will have them raw as well in the produce section. Just make sure to get red/pink dragonfruit (the regular ones are white inside).

I think the flavors added cancel out the banana flavor, the frozen banana just adds the creamy consistency! 😊

+the-exo-sphere the riper the banana the more like bananas it tastes, light yellow with a bit a green is perfect. Then just use other ingredients to cancel out the banana-y flavours.
+the-exo-sphere it's pretty easy to cover up the flavor. But other creamy fruits would work too like Mango or Avocado.

Just a word of advice: make sure your bananas are spotty when you freeze them and then you won't need sweetener!! Loved this video!!
Is dragon fruit supposed to be that pink?!?! Because when I had dragon fruit it was like white with black seeds
There are actually different types of dragon fruit and i suppose that they used the red/purple kind

They might sell it in the frozen section at Wholefoods or anyother health food style grocery market, we have a place called Lassen's here in LA for example.

I used to work at Baskin Robbins and we had a flavor called banana chocolate that was listed as sugar free. So most people dismissed it because they figured it'd have that false sweetener, diety flavor. But it didn't have fake sweeteners, it was sweetened by the natural sugars in the bananas. So whenever I insisted someone try it, they were always so surprised and actually a few of them went ahead and bought it. My favorite flavor out of all of them.
