    You'd hope someone timed the pros race start time to ensure neither group was having to stop/pass with only a couple laps to go. That would be my guess.

    Realy nice Videos, keep up what ur doing. The only thing i would love to see is maybe a small position counter on the bottom left or right, that we (the viewer) can get a better overview in which position your are at anytime of the race. Best regards from germany

      That'd be a little too hard to do, but thanks for the suggestion!

    Would have been neat to see that crash in slow motion and see what really happened. I like watching these with your narration. It make the race very interesting.

    How did you do the distance countdown? Are you using GoPro telemetry overlay?

    • @jonathancarycycling
      @jonathancarycycling  Год назад +1

      I use a software called Telemetry Overlay

      @@jonathancarycycling I use it as well. Just started. Is it just a distance gauge option? And can you set a specific end point in the video for the distance? Or does the .fit file itself have to end at the finish line?

      @jonathancarycycling  Год назад +1

      @@jameskim3 Yeah it should be the distance gauge and yes you can set a specific endpoint 🤙🏼

    The big lateral movement that caused the crash was due to him overlapping wheels and briefly losing control. Surprised he didn’t go down himself. Sucks for the guy he chopped though.

      I have a few thoughts on this as I have been wondering if I could have done anything different insofar as not going down. I think the footage in some way vindicates my own thoughts and feelings on crashing. In the moment, we were absolutely slamming on the power, and then either one of two things probably happened. He either came off the wheel in an attempt to go around as we came around the bend into the downhill and/or he was on the verge of touching wheels which then led to crossing over my own wheel. It is unfortunate in either case, as there was still plenty of time to move up given our position prior the crash.
      With this being said, there was a lot of space right of the white line, which I was trying take advantage of before going down. I thought that would be the safest spot seeing as how the last lap is often chaotic. This is why, if you go back in the footage, I worked really hard to bring my teammate to the front before turn three leading into the downhill and kicker [teammate in the pink aerosocks].
      Thank you for posting this footage and giving your feedback.

      @@IanEnder12 Check out Jon Wells’s footage, it shows the guy in front of you grazing his front wheel. Didn’t know that was you in the Landis kit. That suuuuucks.
      ~120 combined is kinda insane… I would have been down to race if this had been a cat 2 field only.

    The race organizers need to get their shit together. This is basic elementary racing logistics here... and they missed the mark! FFS

    Cat 5 got neutralized in a similarly dysfunctional way, almost caused half the group to crash because they just pushed the front to the side with a motorcycle and us in the back couldn't see what was going on, people slamming the brakes :/
