I like Snyder movies. I would love to see him do dune, krypton, ancient star wars series. Rebel moon has such great intrigue and mystery to the characters back story. I think not knowing everything i great start to long series.
I really enjoyed part 1. They build up the characters, which many movies neglect. That's part of good story telling. It was a good movie with a memorable vibe, cool mix of different characters, very nice visuals and fitting music. The story won't win any originality prizes but still interesting and exciting. Part 2 wasn't as good. Story: Too slow of a start, although somewhere in the middle the story picks up the pace, which was nice. It was just not as exciting as part 1. Visuals: When it comes to the visuals the audiences has little to complain, very nice, but way too much unnecessary slow-motion effects, till a point it gets noticeably annoying. A little downtuning of the slow-mo won't hurt. Do it at key moments of cool action scenes. Not every 10 seconds. Characters: There are plenty of interesting and cool characters, so this should be a walk in the park, yet they could have gotten a little extra of something. Hard to put your finger on. We do hear more about their backgrounds, which i think was a smart touch of the director, but somehow they could have shone more. They felt way more generic compared to part 1. And even though we get to dive deeper into their backgrounds, they still felt a bit bland Perhaps some sarcastic humor should have been inserted. Not talking slap stick, but just a pinch of humor often works wonders. For a part 3 they should focus abit more on the mix of cool characters, and their individual traits. The absolute essence of good story telling is that you get the audience to care for the main character(s). The only way to do that is invest time in them. It doesn't mean we need a 30 minute boring backstory of someone, just a little scene to accentuate their funny/exciting/rebellious or dark side. In other words, give character to the character. Also, the audience wants to connect to the world this takes place in, so expand on that. Perhaps instead of spending 65% of the movie in a boring farm village, for part 3 let them visit the mother planet incognito to get some hard to get supplies or info. A cool modern city with nice sights, luxury mansions, beautiful parks, yet a dark underbelly. Neon, red-light zone, shady bars, black market. That kinda stuff. It will give that extra credibility and makes the world feel plausible and alive. That little extra we miss. With all that said, i can definitely see the potential here and they succeeded at some parts already. Very excited to see if they can smash it out of the ball-park with part 3. Conclusion: They got the groundwork right, and all the ingredients are there. It just needs a bit of fine tuning to make it hit home.
@@wobbly_soup5170the directors cut are for adults so I would not say they are in every way better... But for me it's hard now going back to fairy tale star wars
Snyder's movies are epic, leagues better than WB and way more profitable. His Snyderverse was his greatest creation and will continue once WB goes bankrupt eventually and ends up selling to Universal or Netflix. They can't keep a great universe from continuing. His ideas are perfect and Snyder haters don't understand a thing that he makes because they are way too naive and lack the braincells to fully understand his movies. Rebel Moon is awesome and i hope he continues his awesome work until the time for his Justice League sequels continue. Trust me, the Snyderverse isn't dead. It's living at Netflix and stronger than ever. It'll return to DC and fix the mess that WB is currently in that they don't even know where they are now. Why do you think they are so far in debt. Last i heard the profit was around 7 dollars, which is quite sad if you ask me.
Wow people really dislike Snyder. I love his work, made for big screen, great music, great visuals, great characters. I would love to see his take on a star wars story
Isn't it all just exposition filled CGI garbage though? 300 was the only thing this guy ever did worth my time, and that wasn't even his own IP. Whan you try to hide your lack of talent behind CGI, but the CGI is no better.
@@theanimeboy9953 Good call there. I forgot about Watchmen. That's a great movie. Still not his own IP though. IMO, he shouldn't be in the director seat. At least not without senior direction and supervision. Give him that, and he can churn out a great movie, but leave him to his own devices and his lack of talent shows. He should be in production and post-production, or the right hand of someone who knows what they're doing and has qualified talent.
Great fan of rebel moon here, both movies are sick!
We need more!!!!!
Still waiting for part 3
A lot of bashing for these 2 movies but i enjoyed it and im excited to explore more
I feel sorry for your shit Taste

Officially fan of Rebel Moon. 4 Parts would satiate my liking though but nonetheless, its fine, I mean this is Zack Synder.
Cant wait for the next movie
rebel moon 3?
Directors cut 1 and 2 were far superior to the standard ones.
I'm guessing Zach Snyder equates something being 'big' with something being good, which is debatable.

Wow I give 5/5 Star ..🎉
LOL, this guy is delusional - Netflix will soon drop him like a hot potato.
Can’t wait, parts 1 and 2 are better than Star Wars from Disney and slightly better than Lucas
This is the worst take I’ve ever heard Lucas is on top
no
At least tell me why it’s better so I can try to understand your point
I feel sorry for your shit Taste

How many movies are they planning ?
And there wasn't massive parts of Attack of the Clones!
Jack Reboot Snyder!
And why so much slow mo
he is now working on something proper at WB , a 300 prequel show , all this netflix stuff was just passing time

It’s dead 💀
He looks tired =\
This guy must be very delusional..
Zack Snyder is Garbage, no amount of slow motion can fix him
no thanks Zack.
You made some great ones, sometime ago. Rebel Moon is pretty bad.

Ok simp lol

I would argue Zack Snyder's full Justice League was also another one of his great works. Also Watchmen, that movie was a classic.

Fact: Snyder movies are bad movies
Fact an opinion everybody has one
