I was a curator's assistant for three years and I can confirm that this is what we are like. I worked alone in a basement a lot of the time and would talk to myself so I wouldn't get scared by how creepy the basement was.

In regards to the Helix ad: I have actually purchased one due to these ads and it’s my favorite thing. It’s been three months and I’ve slept amazing every night. It’s worth the investmet and the discount really helps. The video: I am currently a master’s student in history and this just hits different. Thank you!

Erin really is a master of this aesthetic - her experience and appreciation for cinematography come through in even the finest details, like prop selection and color choices. But, more than anything else, I’m amazed at how natural and genuine each roleplay feels. As much as I love this video as an ASMR video, I couldn’t help but express how much I appreciate the care, attention-to-detail, and work that goes into each of her videos - each is a confluence of art and ASMR, and always worth the wait.☺️
@@lizardmix I mean that’s obvious but I guess I was more wondering if the entire space is no pens/sticky notes, or if it’s just while handling the artifacts.
@@kaykayj73 Hey Kaley! It depends on who is running the area where you work/visit. I work in an archival space where sticky notes and pens are not permitted at any table or desk where an artifact would be worked on. Pens are fairly obvious, but sticky notes can leave behind a harmful residue after making contact with the item whether it is the workspace or the artifact itself. The adhesive will attract dirt, can cause discoloration because of the butyrate adhesive, as well as cause papers to stick together, and if placed on fragile paper removing them can be damaging to the artifact. With pens and adhesives being a risky choice plenty of curators opt to not allow them in archival spaces or libraries at all.
