  • THE GOSPEL
Welcome to another week at InCourage Church. This week we continue with our series on "Romans". Last week we unpacked who Paul was and how Jesus changed his life on the road to Damascus. Paul's "bio" changed from being a persecutor to a edifier, from a tormentor to a equipper. Paul's bio after he met Christ changed into "Paul, a servant of Christ, set apart to be an apostle for the good news of God (Romans 1:1)
This week Dewald unpacked what the "Gospel" meant and why the Gospel was to important and exciting. Paul shares that the gospel is the "good news" and Jesus in the one true king.
The word gospel was used when a new Roman emperor was appointed ruler over Rome. A message will ring out across the land saying "Good news, a new emperor has taken the throne".
Paul used this image to convey to the church in Rome that JESUS was the one true king who came and purchased us with the sacrifice of His own life.
Check out today's message!! Feel free to leave us a comment.
