Did Lucas Raymond arrive this season or was he a big beneficiary of a career high shooting percentage and a higher scoring environment? He averaged a 12.6 shooting % in his first 2 seasons. It was 19% in 2023-24. He average 0.65 points per game in his first 2 seasons. Points per game in 2023-24 was 0.88. The team averaged 2.83 goals per game in his first 2 seasons. Goals per game jumped to 3.35 in 2023-24. What happens next season when/ if his shooting percentage drops and when the team goals per game drop because they want to get better defensively? Next season should let us know if he’s arrived or not. No drop in production equals a top line scorer. A drop in production equals a middle six scorer.
