@@BusVidsManc Hyde was one of four councils which formed a joint operating organisation known as SHMD (Stalybridge, Hyde, Mossley & Dukinfield Joint Transport & Electricity Board), with Mossley being the only one in Lancashire. The board operated from 1904 until being absorbed into SELNEC (South East Lancashire & North East Cheshire) in 1969.
