I'm a 31 year old male who made 110,000 last year and was looking to buy my first home, the intrest rates and prices were through the absolute roof for even small sized houses (i live in miami fl). It made me realize how much of a scam this country has become where even a single guy making over 6 figures can't even buy a small sized home. If things don't get better im out of here.
You could buy a small home in rural parts of our province, not in a major city. We are in a major city in Canada and bought our townhouse on one income, and less than your income.
Hard work doesn’t pay off anymore, and nobody cares. I think that’s why there are so many lazy people that you complain about. Some of the highest earners do so with the least amount of work.

We live in Canada and it's crazy here. My spouse works a ft job with minimal OT as well as a side hustle. His work is extremely physically and mentally demanding. The side hustle is only physical and not mental so he feels like he gets a break in that regard. Those shifts are typically 10-12 hours each. This week, he is working minimum 60 hours. Typically, he works about 50. I'm a SAHM against my choice who actually had to quit a job during the training period because it wasn't a good fit. Not happy about it. We are a family of 4. We have accessed the food bank on occasion. There is no shame in that. There are also discount food apps. This shit sucks. You're not alone. The one saving grace for us is that we bought our townhouse a couple years ago, as the rental market went insane back then and is only just starting to come down. You can't rent our home for what we pay for the mortgage. In fact, we have friends who are renting, and their rent alone in a much smaller place with less bedrooms is what we pay for all associated costs for our home, and they pay utilities on top of that. If I was single, as much as I hate it, I would rent a room to drastically cut costs. I did do that in my single years. I feel for you, man.
Canada is on a whole different ball game in terms of cost of living I don't know how you guys do it over there especially having Justin Trudeau in office over there. He has to be making life just absolutely miserable for your average Canadian I can only imagine. As far as renting a room goes I've been doing that for over a year now.

My husband was an over-the-road truck driver when we first got together. It's a great career for single dudes, but if you have a partner or kids it's incredibly demanding, forcing you to be over the road 3 weeks or more out of every month. We’re in a age that we know ever little but know so much. I find it crazy that we learn and have too know so much to even live. The way we work is very difficult to keep up with family friends and your own social life when running a business. You lose yourself within it and become a different person. But we all are going through a lot. And it’s just that you don’t see it the way we are seeing it now. People have been through way worse back in the day. We all were homeless and didn’t have the right needs 1,000s of years ago but people came up with systems that could willingly help us but now that the world is digital. Everything has became faster. And if your family didn’t do this right with the tool of “money” then today’s the day and age that we’ll most likely all become completely poor like Robin Hood.

They don’t want to train people because of the cost. Having many jobs and a few shots at being an apprentice. Jobs that offer training have to agandas. They are going to provide crappy training and expect you to be at professional level in a few months or they barely train you so that they can keep you at a lower pay and do the real crappy work dangling the carrot. I don’t even bother with apprenticeships anymore unless you really know the company and they really like you and believe in you and take their time. A lot of men in the trades are miserable A-holes, cliquish and they like that there isn’t much people entering the trades because it keeps their pay higher. They will bitch that they don’t have the help and people are lazy when they are the same people that turn new hires off.
Let's just be honest here. If "apprenticeships" paid between 25-30 an hour STARTING, then there wouldn't be a shortage of tradesmen. The fact that tradespeople really expect grown adults to leave their current jobs or careers to begin working in their industry for the same wage as someone flipping burgers is embarrassing and demonstrates why I have no sympathy for them. Imagine telling anyone else in any other industry that to move to yours they have to make 16 an hour for 4 years before you can start making what they already make in their field. Actually insane to me. The pride of having a semi-useful skill is all they have. Because there's nothing else about the trades that makes people want to join it. The people honestly suck a lot of the time and the nature of the work sucks. So if the golden triangle has 2 out of 3 major elements that SUCK, the third and final element should be EXCELLENT to make up for it. But that doesn't happen unless you're a business owner or someone who's already made it through.
@@raderT90good points. However being in the trade and knowing what the cost of running business is like. Taxes, upkeep, sometimes get sued even tho did everything right, healthcare cost is insane for small businesses, sick days, vacation, it all really adds up. Most really profitable businesses are ones that been around back in day when it was cheap to start a business and just word of mouth to get clients or yellow pages. Now it’s advertising on FB, google, paying ppl to market your business to get your name out there. Its all become very expensive to run a business and forces you to pay less experienced ppl and keep the experienced ones by paying them more of the profits because training can cost a lot and they can always move to another company.

Honestly dude, If I were in your position I’d be applying for as many gig economy positions as I can like DoorDash, Ubereats, rideshare, Walmart Spark, Wonolo etc and live in my car for a few months to save as much as I can! There are many other apps you can find all over the US where you can find jobs or even daily tasks to do without doing any application process. I don’t miss the United States one bit! People just do not understand that the US is not a country, it’s a corporation.

@@deconstructingnarcissism3062 Were you not able to understand the message I’m trying to convey or are you wanting more particulars? The idea is to eliminate your rent expense and to budget (which it seems like you know how to do) and use that as a stepping stone to move forth. What I DID, is I set my car as my office, that was my home, and I door dashed and picked up other side gigs along the way to keep as much cash flowing as possible, that’s all I did. The main expenses I had were the wear and tear on the car, the insurance, planet fitness gym membership (you can shower there) food and gas. I will say I had more luck than many others with DoorDash because I started doing it shortly after lockdowns when it was better paying plus I already had money saved up from a previous job months before while I was still living with my parents. I had a car that had great gas mileage and didn’t have a lot of wear and expenses to deal with other than new tires and oil changes so I can’t say you’ll have the same luck considering the market saturation but I’d say it’s worth trying. That’s why I recommend applying and try to get on as many apps as you can and tryout other markets that aren’t in big cities. I was able to save enough money to trade the markets full time while abroad but honestly you don’t even need to do that. If there’s an online venture you’re wanting to pursue, then I recommend saving enough for a one way ticket somewhere abroad and to buy you some time to figure whatever it is you want to do. There are many places where you can find hostels for less than $20 a night that aren’t shit quality and apps you can use to volunteer in exchange for your accommodation. There are many videos out there that explain what I’m talking about. So if I were you, not telling you how to live your life, I’d research these things and learn as I go. I wish you the best!
Corporate price gouging or maybe some of that but you have to remember the government never tells you the true answer what inflation really is I guarantee inflation is over 25% and depends on where you live at like California for example it could be over 40%
I don't believe inflation is necessarily that high (per month), but they usually don't add in insurance or other services into the equation. I believe rent might be excluded often, or something stupid like that. I can see 5% per month being realistically true, over the past year or so. Again, per month, so it's compounding higher. 5% or any percent is still higher than the last 5%.

They send billions to Ukraine, but say we got no money for homeless or social housing - individual's , not country's money making priorities. Inflation and debt is caused by not sharing resources equally, when one fuker hoards 90% wealth and 100000 people have to share 10%, so only makes sense the latter takes on debt and credit if inflation is driven by one party.
Sense of responsibility and service that goes beyond a paycheck, the problem is that this cant exist if normal law-abiding citizens are persecuted by both the federal government and anarchy. What i mean to say is that the federal government will tax everything you own and send you to jail if you dont pay, in contrast, criminals are free to roam, steal, mug, but if you defend yourself from these people it's a crime. Vigilantism is the cure to anarchy, but we have a strong central government that wont prosecute anarchy, but will persecute normal people. But these senses of responsibility and services are tied to the nuclear family, the community, and by extent the Church and identity.

Now it’s advertising on FB, google, paying ppl to market your business to get your name out there. Its all become very expensive to run a business and forces you to pay less experienced ppl and keep the experienced ones by paying them more of the profits because training can cost a lot and they can always move to another company.
Not necessary to buy salmon every day but you need an omega-3 source at least weekly
milk has that
I just buy the salmon. Food is food
Get omega-3 pills at the store, for the price of one fillet. Salmon don't MAKE omega-3, they only have it because they eat it.
My home owners insurance went up 60%, im on food stamps, my car is paid off, but im still check to check. TBH im just waiting for these billionaire devils to pump up the market early in 2025. Day trading isnt enough money because i have only so little i can afford to risk.Working 2 jobs as a substitute teacher and a barber isnt enough to make ends meet every month smh.
Crappy new year

I have 2 jobs and I sleep in my van . F this sis economy
I would try to find a marketplace that isn’t too saturated like it may be in your area. That’s what I did for several months and now I’m a digital nomad traveling wherever I want when I want. I don’t miss the United States one bit! People just do not understand that the US is not a country, it’s a corporation.
Pretty much doing this too, I can’t handle trying to go thru interviews and all that shit 😂 I just need to make money immediately. Can’t wait around till someone decides they want to hire me.
The open border situation has saturated those mobile app jobs as well. Many people saying they don’t pay as much as they used to
@@ChunkUhDunk Sucks 😔
My question is how did you become a digital nomad after living in your car for several months?
8:10 yep. i was working at amazon for over a year continuously applying for a programming job. finally got one and it was great, but then got laid off. now back to the grind i guess. feels like a vicious cycle tbh, it'll prob happen again
Swift Transportation will pay for your CDL school if you stay with them for a year. That's how I got my CDL.
PROJECT 2025 🤣THIS ISN'T TRUMP'S DOING, YOU CAN THANK BIDENOMICS
True. Tired of the TDS
Reaganomics
Trump's Tariffs.... Thank you very much MAGA!
Used cars, sandwiches, clothing, everthing´s prices turned upside down since the pandemics.
People are too focus on 9-5. 9-5 you will be paying insane taxation + deduction. People need to instead focus on crypto, flipping stuff on facebook market, mowing lawn or snow removal. In Canada a 100k 9-5 job is the same as a non-taxing paying 70k cad job. Btw, I am a Canadian Great Meme War veteran. Inflation is not that bad in Canada if you hold usd like me. After yrs of being mock for that, all the haters will suffer. Most middle age unemployed people will end up working the street corner.
It’s the great melt-up. & inflation is going to get exponentially worse.. they’re going to print money. 😢
You are so beautiful 😍 😊
Corporations and the rich need to pay more taxes, not less. We need more regulations and affordable housing to offset the corporations and hedge funds monopoly. Also, we need more unions.
Trump is about to do the opposite.
Gotta decentralize EVERYTHING. Otherwise, things will always just go back to the crappy way they are now.
What state are you in? I own a freight carrier i started 8 months ago. Im almost to the point where I wanna hire guys to run OTR box truck NON CDL. Just need guys I can trust and pay well since I'm a new carrier and need a strong foundation
There a massive need for english speaking guys in the trade that actually care. Shippers and brokers are tired of the foreigners. Again, no need to shell out 5k to get a CDL. I can't predict the future economy and demand for freight, but even in these years these box trucks seem to make good money as long as they're on the road. Keep your head up
@@FordySeven I'm in illinois
@deconstructingnarcissism3062 My carrier is based out of Cali right now but im most likely going to move it outside of Atlanta because freight pays well and is readily available. Or the Texas tri city area. I love running indiana and all i80 coast to coast in the summer but im going to try to keep my trucks down south for winters. I can't promise anything but keep it in mind. Furthest north for me to setup a truck terminal would be Nashville or Louisville. Im more focused on buying trucks for guys I can trust and inviting them in to help build the company, rather than going on indeed or other websites and hoping for the best. I'll screenshot your YT channel and put it in my folder of potential guys. No promises here, but potentially there could be opportunities in the future.
@@FordySevenI understand. Thank you for offering to give me a chance if future opportunties arrive. I know it looks like just some guy bitching on the internet but its rough out here man.
I was debating doing the CDL. But yeah gotta save up 5k or borrow from fam
I only spend $20.00 a week on food & only work part time. I only make $550.00 a month to live on & I am single & 44 years old.
How do you survive on only $550.00 a month???
Lmao, i guess it could work if you're willing to complete nuke your diet.
For $20 bucks a week you need to be eating white noodles with butter every day, while drinking tap water.
And don't exercise, just sleep on the couch all day to conserve calories. Vegetables are out of the question because they don't have a lot of calories, so not worth buying. Maybe a bulk bag of beans, you could make that work. No proteins either cause that's expensive. Maybe if you get a coupon for a whole chicken so you can pay $5 and just slowly chip away at that chicken every day.
@itsnotgoingtoendwell Dang, that`s quite a story.
Damn $20 what do you even get
@itsnotgoingtoendwell I mean I guess you could do that but I like feeling healthy and strong not weak couch potato no offense. In the long run thats going to affect your health badly.
Seriously bro, can you leave Illinois to better your situation (at least to another state)? Have you ever left Illinois?
theres nothing better. itd be a waste of time. changing states isnt gonna fix the economy.
The closest is Wisconsin and trust me I've been applying for jobs there too. I want to get out.
Illinois is a hell hole. 2nd highest property tax, 3rd highest gas tax, 3rd highest unemployment rate and 50th in debt per capita. The only good thing about Illinois is that you can travel in ANY direction and end up in a better state.
@ I know..I'm trying to leave bro trust me!!
Im currently working 2 jobs 67 hours a week. Monday-Friday 5am-8pm with both Saturday and Sunday off. But im looking to potentially get a job for the weekends too honestly. If i wasn't in debt id be in a pretty good position but i have about $500 a month going out on credit cards. Money i could be saving and or investing. I should be debt free by my birthday with the math ive done..i cant wait maan...but i feel you wages have stagnated and inflation is crazy. Then on top of that you got price gouging??? Im lucky I work in 2 kitchens i get free food there but i haven't bought groceries in like 6 months.
They can only keep this scam going for so long, eventually it i'll collapse.
struggling financially and sociallly
It’s not corporate price gouging. It’s still inflation. You can thank the US government and the federal reserve for that.
it's more of a greed of never satisfied stakeholders and ceos than it is inflation
We have enough money to feed whole america and house most of people, but we choose not to and you going to tell me it's inflation?
They send billions to Ukraine, but say we got no money for homeless or social housing - individual's , not country's money making priorities.
Inflation and debt is caused by not sharing resources equally, when one fuker hoards 90% wealth and 100000 people have to share 10%, so only makes sense the latter takes on debt and credit if inflation is driven by one party.
@ what is your solution?
I have two full time jobs.... as ative duty military 🤡 laziest unmotivated people work at both of my jobs unsurprisingly
What do you think motivates people?
Hmm. I wonder why nobody respects military anymore. Probably because yall act like this.
I see that.i see them alot
its almost enough to consider moving to israel somehow. thats where the moneys going
Millennial steam summed it all up in his videos about Jail.
I went to ALDI a few days back ... a pack of ground turkey was $4 something. Again ... not great. But beats alternatives e.g. Safeway or Giant.
That isn't bad, I go to aldis too, socal very expensive and I noticed Costco outside food court items have lost all savings value and are just a buy in bulk store w/o the savings.....can't believe even Costco became another wal mart now but with bulk

If you're serious about your quest then think about getting in the appliance repair business. Easy to get schooling in a matter of weeks you can be up and running. There's definitely a bright future with not enough qualified people out there and today's appliances don't last and keep breaking down. Working for someone else you'll probably have lots of O/T available. In about 1yr or two into it you can be working for yourself and make over $100k/year.

It's called inflation! when your purchasing dollar is less than a year ago! That's what happens when country prints a bunch of new currency. $1 in 1990 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $2.41 today. If the government calculated inflation rate like 70's it'll be a lot higher published.
@@MikeCastelonia its inflation and corporate price gouging
@@deconstructingnarcissism3062 Corporate price gouging. That's what the government tell you, so they don't get the blame. China did that during the hyperinflation of the 1920s, blaming speculators and greedy hoarders instead of addressing the actual problem. Government always want to blame the people.
I think a lot of people buying food out there these days are actually using an EBT / Food Stamps account. Makes me mad but same with housing. Lots of people using voucher money or some other program.
Look for 3rd shift jobs. They pay a dollar an hour more, and no one wants to work them and they pay more usually as no one wants to work nights.
